Dianne: It means that there was more than one film released in the same year with the same title. So, for example, besides Distorted (2018/I) with John Cusack, there are also Distorted (2018/II) and Distorted (2018/III). IMDb assigns roman numerals in that situation in the order in which the titles happen to be added to the database.

I tested this on a couple of titles and can see that you are correct. I don't think I would have figured that out for a long time, though, since none of the titles I searched that fit the criteria were listed near each other. There are names, companies, etc. that match TITLES - and matching titles in different years, too. I guess I expected a sequential listing of matching titles, or fewer results... But when I scrolled down (knowing what to look for) there they were!

Curiosity satisfied; I can go to sleep. Thank you very much!
