A man makes a bet to light his lighter X times in a row.
If he makes it, he wins lots of money, but if he loses, he has to cut off his finger.
I know that it ́s a short film from like The Twilight Zone or something like that, but I just can ́t find what series it is. It ́s not from TTZ or Tales from the crypt, but something like those.
Does anyone know what I ́m talking about?

Whatever the actual film Magnus is looking for, I must say that I first knew about this adaptation, and other nice Roald Dahl's stories, by browsing the much-missed message boards (sadly many innocents paid for the sins of some...
)
P.S.

Perhaps you saw "Man from the South" when it was one of the four episodes remade for the pilot episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents when the series was revived in 1985. John Huston was the one who wanted the gambler (Steven Bauer) to take the bet. Kim Novak, Tippi Hendren and her daughter Melanie Griffith also appeared in the episode.

But it was also dramatized in 1979 with Jose Ferrer and Michael Ontkean in something on YouTube credited as "Roal Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected:"

Thank you.
It was indeed the 1985 version of "Man from the south" that ́s been stuck on my mind for all these years.
I watched both your links and even though I remember the Roald Dahl ́s Tales of the unexpected, I can ́t seem to remember seeing this one, but on the other hand...it was a long time ago so I think I ́m entitled a small memory loss. lol
Thanks alot for the links and for your help.
