Ok going through some old pictures, I stumbled upon one of a past Easter. It looks like I got this Star Trek film, which boggles my mind because I never really was a Star Trek film.....but the S clearly looks like the S in the Star Trek logo. But I’ve literally searched the web and cannot find a duplicate of this box.

I only have part of this box....and as you can tell it is a bit blurry. But you can clearly see the first three letters STA.

This is definitely got to be up the sci-fi ally the very least since I started really getting into sci-fi films.

This was from Easter 1999.....so anything after 1999 we can rule out.

But what is this film that is in this picture? Or is this yet another possibility of the Nelson Mandela effect or that it came from an alternate Earth.

I've had a brainstorm session and I don't think it is anything Star Trek, the style of the logo doesn't gel with anything I've ever seen.
I can't tell if it is a tabletop game, a PC Game, a toy or an early DVD boxset, you may be able to narrow that down (I know in 1999, I had no PC or DVD's).
The writing and logo's are too blurry to make out even under extreme zoom. operating on the possibility it is a DVD and the triangle shape is a logo, the only companies I can think of with a logo that'd fit would be Trimark or CP Macrovision but again, that gets us no further.
It also does not seem to resemble the box of any 90's Starcraft game.
So sorry I couldn't figure it out right now but possibly I've laid the groundwork for someone who can or jogged a memory. I'll chime back in if anything else crops up in my searching for an answer.

We can definitely rule out DVD.

This was taken Easter 1999 and we didn’t get our first DVD

Okay I tried enhancing the picture in a program but I still couldn't make anything clear enough to read except convince myself it was a shrink wrapped VHS tape in a US style box. I conclude that it is the film 'Star Kid' on VHS, if you recall owning that movie, it's likely that's what it was.

This VHS spine is identical to your picture, it was a Trimark logo as I suspected.

That’s the one. As soon as you said the logo was TriMark.....I was able to greatly narrow it down.

The thing was I tried my darndest searching for triangle movie logos but I never got results in the picture.

But yes this is the film.

Thanks.

Hey....

How do I update the original post to SOLVED???

Aren’t I supposed to do that since we solved it??

But if i can’t edit my OP, I’m not sure how it’s going to get marked as SOLVED.

(Sheepish laughter)
