Hi; I'm looking for a black and white movie and this is all I have. It's probably British, from the 1950s, and probably set in England in the 19th century. The one scene I remember is a load of male members of a jury. One at a time, each one passes a verdict of "Guilty". This continues all the way to the last juror, who announces his verdict of "Not guilty", whereupon everyone in the courtroom explodes into laughter. (I was maybe 3 or 4 when I watched this scene.) Can anyone help identify the movie? Thanks!

Well, not British or 19th-C, but can we eliminate 12 angry men? Takes place in Chicago, very hot and the one juror that says "not" then tries to get the others to reconsider their reasoning. The whole thing takes place in one room and a pocket knife plays a big part. Classic - if you haven't seen it - do!

Hi, thanks for your answer, but it's not 12 Angry Men I'm afraid. I have seen it though, excellent movie!
