Location Services Kills iPhone

I currently have my location services turned off. Two problems arise with the IMDB app for iOS.

1) occasionally, upon launching the app, a setting service is triggered prompting me to enable my location. When this happens, my phone / iPad will not allow touch input. The only way to work around this annoyance is to manually perform a hard reset of the device.

2) I am unable to change my theater region preference. The search function fails to work when my location services are off.

All apps and the iOS are up to date. This issue has occurred for the last eight months.

Hi Jimmy, thanks for reporting this. Are you saying you see this identical issue on both your iPhone and iPad? Please provide the device details and exact OS version each one is on and we can investigate.

I have exactly the same problem (#1) in my IPad (IOS 11.2.6). The location option pops up every time I start the app, and it blocks the device. This doesn’t hapen to me in my Android device.

My app version is 8.15, the latest (but the location message keeps popping up).

Hello, I also have this issue for a few weeks. When I open the app, I am prompted to turn on location services. Sometimes I can cancel, sometimes the prompt disappears straight away and other times the box cannot be closed. My phone becomes unresponsive and I have to do a hard manual forced reboot to regain functionality. I have app version 8.15 and I am using an iPhone 6s with iOS 11.4.1.
