List has two entries at same ranking

Items 48 and 49 are missing from my list here: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls021761353/ They do not show up in edit mode either, nor can I move any item to the 48th or 49th spot. It also says there are 140 people listed, but the numbers go to 141. What is going on here? Please fix this soon. I don't know if other lists are experiencing the same problem.

EDIT: I just noticed there are now two entries marked #1, and every time I try to change one, another one takes its place so there are always two entries at #1. And one entry is still missing. What is going on here?

EDIT #2: Ugh! I just tried to fix the order, and now there are two entries at in second place and what should be #48 or 49 is still missing. Please fix. :-(

EDIT #3: Upon closer inspection, I don't *think* any entries are missing, it's just that two of them are showing up as being in the same place and it's throwing off the numbering of the list. I've changed the list title to reflect this.

I was able to Export your list.
Yes, 48 & 49 are unused position numbers, but position 2 is duplicated:

...

IMDb tech staff have been able to fix such things in the past.
Hopefully a CS rep will respond to this soon with the opening of a ticket. Fixes are not quick. See this thread:
https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/numbering-issue-in-list-editing-mode

You've already made a duplicate of your list so you can keep editing.
To aid the people accessing your lists, you can make the URL in the list description an active link. Just add [link=] around the URL:

bdereos.
Was just noticing something.
Has anybody tried exporting/importing any list to another empty newly created list number, then re-exporting/re-importing that list back to the original list number to see if it corrects the list order?

@bderoes I didn't even know we could create active links, and I've been making lists for probably about a decade. Thank you for this!

@Ed Jones(XLIX) Haven't tried that but that's a great suggestion. I know copying the list to another list did not duplicate the error in the new list. Exporting/importing may work; I'll give it a shot.

Great.
The idea was so simplistic.
Surprised no one recommended tryin it yet!

Decided to do an even simpler version of your suggestion and just deleted all the entries in the original list and moved over the entries from the duplicate list -- and it worked! Well, at least for now. Gonna have to keep an eye out for that bug in the future. Thank you both for your help!

I have over 900 list numbers all with 35 or less entries, and have never had this list order glitch. Wish it would happen to one of my lists so I could play with trying to fix it!

Copying from one list to another resets the date added to the copy date. Some people value that original information.

No date change. Moved this item to a temp list and moved it back to it's original location. As you can see from the pictures it shows that the list creation date still remains. There is the update....yes. But the list remains 2 weeks old.

"Date added" is NOT list creation date.
Each ENTRY has a Date Added.
That date is not carried to the new list.
In my post above:

These 1st 4 names have 4 different Created dates. (The next column is the Modified dates.)
After copying these to another list, they will have the Copy date as their Create and Modified dates.

Was not getting what you meant. Was looking at the word "created" on your excel spread sheet picture and not paying attention to your actual words typed.
I now see what you were trying to convey!!!
My Bad!!!
