I want to link my IMDb account (I sign in with IMDb/email) to my Facebook. I created an IMDb account long before I used Facebook. I want to link my Facebook, but I don’t want to create another IMDb account and lose my IMDb data/history. Whenever I try to link it asks me if I want to creat a new account or link existing. When I click link existing it wants me to sign in. When I sign in it wants me to RE-enter my password along with a captcha, but NO captcha is appearing on the second login page for me to enter, so it just keeps giving me an error message. I’m getting very frustrated. It’s already annoying every time I sign in to have to do it twice. But now this? And now I’m just stuck.

1. Open IMDb and sign in.

2. Go to your Account Settings.

3. Go to Linked Accounts.

4. Click on "Link your Facebook account".

Text starting from "whenever" and the screenshots weren't there when I first read it.

The only text which was there is this;
I want to link my IMDb account (I sign in with IMDb/email) to my Facebook. I created an IMDb account long before I used Facebook. I want to link my Facebook, but I don’t want to create another IMDb account and lose my IMDb data/history.
Now, to me, it sounds like they needed help with how to link Facebook with their IMDb account

Please wait for a reply by staff.
They will instruct you on how to proceed, unless a Champion or another contributor stops by with an actual solution.

Hello there dreamyowl,

Sorry about my comment above, It was a reply to the previous version (before you edited) of your thread.

Btw, I don't think this is a staff issue. You see, the "captcha not appearing" is not an IMDb problem, it's your browser (or device).

I noticed you're using the Safari browser on your smartphone. Please try these standard troubleshooting steps.

Close all tabs and Safari before doing this.

Method 1. Go to your device settings > Go to Safari > Under General, you'll find an option called "Block Pop-ups" > Disable it.

If it still doesn't work, try method 2 (restart from method 1).

Method 2. Go to Settings > Safari, and tap Clear History and Website Data. (clearing your history, cookies, and browsing data from Safari won't change your AutoFill information.)

> Method 2.1. Go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, then tap Remove All Website Data.

Also, make sure to allow cookies. To do that, Tap Settings > Safari, then turn off Block All Cookies.

I hope this helps. If it still doesn't work, please try it on a computer. But believe me, it's not an IMDb issue.

Apologies for the trouble. In addition to the troubleshooting tips already given, I would recommend attempting the linking process using a desktop computer. You should first log out and back into IMDb using your IMDb login credentials, then visit this page to being the linking process:

Thank you so much for the help! Wasn’t expecting such a quick reply while I was editing. Will try resolving this with desktop. Appreciate the help, BONAFIDE BOSS and Steve!
