I've been trying to link my film to my actor's IMDB page for months. I have been patient, I have filed two customer support tickets.

What is the film?  Which is the page you're trying to "link" it to?  What do mean by "link?"  Do you mean you're having trouble listing yourself in the credits to the film?

What is a "customer support ticket?"  Do you mean you've submitted to add the data to the pages?

If you post the submission Reference Numbers, staff here can take a look.

Also, if you post the contents of the emailed receipt for the submission, contributors here might be able to advise you. Othewise, can you add some detail that might help one answer to what might be happening?

Hello,

The ticket number is 160120-000139-279000 place on Jan 19. The ticket was placed to give my actor the credit for the role he played. When I was adding Killing Time to IMDB he was not coming up as an option. I would like to replace the Hinkes, Paul (III) with Hinkes, Paul.

His page is at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm7440530/?ref_=fn_al_nm_2

Killing Times IMDB page is at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5120170/?ref_=fn_al_tt_9

Thank you for your assistance!

Just in case this helps... below is the details from the original ticket

Is the person pictured on this page, Paul Hinkes, the one who has worked on your film?

I see there are now four "Paul Hinkes."  You need to point the credit to the one with the correct Roman numeral after the name, not just to "Paul Hinkes."  There is no such thing, on IMDb (at this time) as plain "Paul Hinkes" because the system keeps being told there are more people by that same name, creating the Roman numeral.  So that submission (referred to, on IMDb as "submissions" and not "tickets") has the error of having no Roman numeral indicated, and there is no such thing as "Hinkes, Paul," on the site. So each time you submit it that way, it's probably going to create a new page assigning the next available Roman numeral.

So please confirm that this is your man, then we can work on removing all these extra Name Pages being created.

I noticed above that you indicated he is, indeed "Hinkes, Paul (I)," and that's how you should have submitted the information. The credit would have, then, been sent to that page instead of creating another new page in his name.

So now, the pages need to be "merged" into one.  This will clean up all the superfluous pages and remove the need for a Roman numeral, once the Roman numerals are gone.

I'll go ahead and submit them all for you.  It might take a few days, perhaps a bit more, to process.

The merges of the multiple pages has processed.  If there are any other issues, please post back with details.
