Is it real or more spam? (artist page creation date)

Is there a way to tell when an actor's page was created?
*no, I have not found the page on any of the major archive sites.

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm11035616

Here's the concern:
Well-known drummer, Eddie Rubin, has found a new fan recently. Many editable sites have been seeing an increase in his name being used (and removed in accordance with their policies). Many of the site changes correspond with each other - which is something even I do, if something needs changed, I change it on all of the sites at the same time.

So, when I wake up and find his IMDb page being added to numerous sites...
Did his IMDb page even exist a week ago?
Is his one credit legitimate, or just more spam. Or could it be like many of the other changes on other sites - a legitimate job he did but was uncredited.

I mean, even his biography was written by someone who has written only 1 biography.

I just don't want IMDb to fall victim to the fan's "resume fluff". Which then gets reproduced on other sites, making it that much harder to determine what is real, fake, and fluff.

Is anything in the biography not true? Please be specific if there are inconsistencies. Itemize what is not true if there are any that you can prove to be false.

And to be clear, IMDb IS a fan fact generated site. I have been contributing for over 10 years. While I have only written 10 biographies, there are many here that have well; over a thousand. When a page was created is of no concern. What is of utmost concern to IMDb IS accuracy.

A reprint of policy....

IMDb aims to be the most comprehensive and reliable source of information on movies, TV and celebrities. We are committed to accuracy and it is our longstanding policy not to alter or remove correct factual information from our records. If you notice an error or omission in our data, please submit a correction or deletion via the "Edit page" button located at the bottom of every name and title page and our staff will be happy to review it and make all applicable changes. We have a guide to adding data here.

However, IMDb will not remove accurate information. If you try to delete an item of data which is accurate, your delete will not be processed. Please be aware that attempts to delete accurate data will count against your overall accuracy rating and may result in all your submissions taking longer to process along with additional proof requirements.

So if it is partial fact, then the part that is incorrect will be addressed. The page however will not be removed because someone has decided on their own that it is not worthy of inclusion. IMDb makes no determination of that type. They just determine facts! That is all.

At this time all you have provided is innuendo. Please provide facts.

Thanks.

You are correct. I have provided no facts because I have not stated an actual claim - yet.
I first wanted to know if there was a way to find when a page was created (and I stated the reason why I would need such data). There is no reason for me to even look into a 5 year old entry, as it would not be part of a multi-site fan/spam/fluff barrage.

========================================================

Honestly, I didn't even read the biography other than to determine "this is the same Eddie Rubin". That, to me, is secondary.

But is his cast credit true and correct?
That is my primary concern.

So, the problem with the editor (on other sites, and most likely here) is that some of the credits he adds are false. Some are true. And some of it is true, but not accurate. Meaning - as example, a band gets credited as having performed on an album. He as a member of the band, did play on the album, but he was credited no where as an individual. So, adding him as an individual is true but not accurate. This varies from site to site, based on their rules and what they are trying to achieve.
And, such is the case with IMDb, other site's rules don't apply here. They have their own rules.

And that brings us back to his credit(s) on IMDb.
I don't have access to the 1964 television show to know if he was credited, or if he was even on it at all.
I am more than willing to look into it myself. But, my initial question wasn't about the possible fancruff as much as it was about the age of the entry.

I personally have added uncredited credits to titles that are "over" 50-70 years old within the last 10 years.
These are photo contributions from a 1937 title that was approved yesterday.
"WHEN" it happens is irrelevant!!!!!!!!!!!

This man was incorrectly assigned a credit that belonged to someone with the same name.
He had been unsuccessful for 6 years at removal, because he was deleting it, not reassigning it.

A lot of data is added and removed far from the date of the actual premier or air date.
This is normal here.

Wiki: It is sometimes possible to figure out approximately when a name page was created. However, one needs IMDbPro access to do that.

To do this, one looks at the person's StarMeter rankings and sees how far they go back.

In some situations, the StarMeter history seems to work well in figuring out when a person's name was added to IMDb. So, for example, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons' StarMeter goes back to August 2011, which is around the time she earned her first IMDb credit, on "Modern Family". (Her first episode aired Sept. 21, 2011.)

On the other hand, for anyone who was listed in the database before 1998, this method won't work, since 1998 is when the StarMeter was created but the database had been in place since 1990. (You can't use the StarMeter to help you figure out when Steven Spielberg or Tom Hanks was added to IMDb.)

In Eddie Rubin (III)'s case, though, the historical StarMeter rankings don't go back at all -- it says "insufficient data points".

So my guess would be that his name page was created in the last month or so, and certainly not before this year. Otherwise, there would be sufficient data to display a graph for him.

I hope this helps.

This may be all well and good in theory G82, but if a page is created and No One visits it for two years it will still say Insufficient data points. Act 1's example below shows that there are approximately 22,000 name between then and now when that page was created.
Act 1 only gave us 1/2 the story.
Knowing him as we all do, he probably has statistics that can track how many name pages are created on average over a 12 month period.
Whether or not he has those numbers and can covey those numbers is another question.  One can form a rude extrapolation from known first inclusions of current actors to formulate an average and then fairly accurately place a time of creation. I really don't care, as it is not germain to the issue.
What is germain is, is the data accurate.

I have suggested here many times to add to Name and Title pages:
the Dates for  "Page Started"  & "Page Updated"
.

Hi Wiki -

I can confirm that the name page for "Eddie Rubin" was created earlier this month.

If you find that there is incorrect information or credits listed on the page, please report them through our online Update form for our editors to review.

Michelle, after reading Act 1's post about the id codes (I knew that, but sometimes it is the little things that we forget), I realized that his page is recent.
I then tried to find decent copies of the shows to watch (youtube is nice, but I prefer legitimate sources, not unauthorized user uploaded copies). I have already had some data removed, some declined, and some still pending.
One of them could possibly be corrected instead of removed (from music department to cast), plus the addition of (uncredited) to the listing.

And that is just my point about the recent editing history on other sites. One item is legitimate, but it was entered wrong. The rest were bogus.
Even the one almost-correct credit would need to go as unlisted. And then the question is - since he has no credits, do we give him the uncredited listing.

That is just par for the course with this "fan". True, false, and sort of true.
