Many people they have an international successful career. Or there are people who make their career in another country and are not known in their country of origin. For this reason I would like imdb to have icons of the flags of countries that a person has participated in TV or films.

My 2 cents:
Yes and no. I understand the move, but nowadays the nationality of a program is something which can be tricky and has to do with the nationality of its production companies, mainly for tax reasons. And very often it is not related to the "cultural" nationality of the movie, which I understand you are implying.
Moreover, and still more often, movies or even TV programs are international coproductions. It is all the more true in Europe, and Europeans have become good at producing American entertainement movies. E.g. the British Liam Neeson stars in the French movie Taken, or Jessica Chastain in Miss Sloane (French as well), or the apparent all-Russian Rachminov is actually Luxemburger.

It is OK the old fashion way, when Eddie Constantine played in scores of German and French movies, but nowadays, relying on the official data that IMDb can retrieve is more likely to raise more puzzling questions than inform the way you are calling for.

In case of co-productions it is true that would happen. But my idea is to highlight the international career of an actor. If a film has co-production in Japan then that movie will be seen in that country.

E.g. Gael Garcia Bernal worked more in USA than Mexico (country of origin), he would have the flag of the USA as principal.

American and Canadian Actors kind of meld together because of English.
Central and South America meld because of the Spanish.
But Europe?
The land mass on the left has 3 main languages in cinema. The land mass on the right has how many languages in cinema? 20? 30? The idea of little logos Identifying where actors work mainly, or where principle production origin takes place is a good one.
The point is probably moot as IMDb will probably never do it because of the expense involved.

Well I'm not a web designer, they are would have to think how to do it. The idea is the flags are miniature.

Anyway, I do not think there is an actor that has participated in a movie from each country in the world.

Hi, everyone!
I do not think there is an actor that has participated in a movie from each country in the world.
That's true, but that sentence made me wonder who's the actor with the largest number of countries in their filmography, and also who's the actor with most credits in a particular country. Out of curiosity, and just for fun, I've tried to find the answers. Given that this info can't be retrieved via ATS, I'll share it here with you in hope you enjoy this type of data.

Unfortunately, countries of production are no longer provided in the text files, so the following numbers were valid as of 22 December 2017. It had been great to have more recent data.

[A couple of rules about series and episodes:
1. Series will be counted as one single credit (no matter the number of episodes a person worked in)
2. Only the countries recorded at the parent level will be considered]

  • INCLUDING CO-PRODUCTIONS (UP TO 5-COUNTRY FILMS):
It would be a bit unfair if we included every co-production, because Daymond John and Capri Everitt would immediately top the list due to their work in the aforementioned Around the World in 80 Anthems (2017), with 72 different countries. Therefore, the 977 titles made by more than 5 countries (only 1.3% of all the co-productions) will be excluded from the analysis.

ACTORS WITH THE LARGEST NUMBER OF CREDITS IN A PARTICULAR COUNTRY
I'm not sure if this kind of analysis has been done before, but I find this part particularly interesting (e.g. who's the actor who has worked in more titles from France?; or, how many different people have acted in Canadian titles?)
FUN FACT: Our good friend Nikolay should take a look...

Cheers!

Jeorj Euler it's just that Hitler indeed jolds a record for most appearances in archive footage, most of them credited, to boot (by documentary standards which is a verbal mention).
