IMDb insists on showing me movie release dates for Hungary. But I'm not from there.

Since August 4th, IMDb insists on showing me movie release dates for Hungary. But I'm not from there and I couldn't care less for hungarian movie releases. I didn't find an option in my profile that customizes this information, so I suppose it is done on IMDb's side. So, somebody should stop screwing around and bring back the information relevant for my location, not Hungary. Thank you.

On showtimes and tickets page?
http://www.imdb.com/showtimes/?ref_=hm_sh_sm

Top of the list, click change under the headline, there's a drop down for country (and a box for zip code)

Country of residence can be changed in personal details (same page as security questions), but i have no idea what that setting affects. (if anything)

Not on the showtimes and tickets page, but on the main page of each movie, just below the title (the line with rating, duration, genre and release date). Country of residence is set up correctly, and no, it doesn't affect this.
Thanks for your reply, anyway!

You aren't using a proxy or any kind of IP masking are you?

I don't know what IMDB uses to determine your location, but certain types of online browsing can fool basic location tracking.

I guess if it's not a simple settings change you'll have to wait for an IMDB employee to take a look.

Nope, I didn't change my browsing environment lately, the problem appeared suddenly and by itself.
And it was solved by logging out of my profile and logging back in, as suggested in a related conversation found on this board:

Vincent, thank you again for your replies.

The issue occurred because the last login occurred from an IP address that was detected as being located in Hungary -- this might have been a glitch or a mistake in geo-location data (which is not 100% accurate). In any case, as you already noted, logging out and back in again will fix the problem, as this will refresh the location data stored in the cookie.
