IMDB approved but messed up my edit?

So here's the deal....
I added a merge for Leah Kamata into Leah Chase (II). I checked my account history, I checked the confirmation email. That is what I did.

BUT
Since the time of my edit, Leah Kamata has disappeared. I assume it has been merged.
But my edit history, which would normally show a red box stating that the two names are the same and wouldn't result in a change, now shows a green box and that I am trying to merge Leah Chase (II) into Leah Chase (I).

I have checked the two artist pages. Leah Chase (II) only has one credit, so it is obvious that the Leah Kamata credit(s) were not added to her page.
But Leah Chase (I), nothing shows her as being "credited as Leah Kamata". So, I don't know if the information was added to her page either.

-------
If IMDb merged based on my edit, there should be no problem. Right? But if they make their own changes based on my suggestion, that could be an issue. Here's why:
Leah Chase (I) is the mother of Leah Chase (II).
Leah Chase (II) is Leah Kamata, with Kamata being her married name, but still goes by Leah Chase or Leah Chase-Kamata for public appearances.
And if my memory serves, the only credit(s) for Leah Kamata also involved Leah Chase (I).

So, really, I don't know what happened or how to fix it.

*Irrelevant to this situation, but fun for trivia buffs - Leah Chase-Kamata has a daughter named Chase Kamata. And there are 4 generations using the name Edgar Chase. I, II, III, IV.

Hello,

Please post the 18-digit reference number of the submission so an IMDb representative can review the update and respond.

I was wondering if I should do that. But I didn't know if that would give the entire internet access to my account or other identifiable information.

When a contributor posts a reference number on the Get Satisfaction site, only you and the IMDb representative can view the submission details.

As noted on the main page (Message from IMDb.com).

If you have submitted data to IMDb via the Edit Page function, please include the 18-digit Contribution ID. This additional information will give context on the issue to our staff, which typically leads to expedited resolution.
You can also contact a representative in private. If so, I would suggest submitting a report to the IMDb Contact Us form. You will receive an email response by an IMDb representative within 24 hours.

I hope this helps.

Hi Wiki Contributor,

It looks like the data got merged into Leah Chase (I). Please could you confirm which data on Leah Chase (I) belongs on Leah Chase (II)?

Regards,
Will

Unfortunately, no, I can't.
If memory serves, there wasn't much. But I believe that everything on Leah Kamata was "herself" in titles with or about her mother.

And, I would assume, if the data was merged into her mother's page, that you wouldn't keep two listings for the same titles. So, if you can't "undo" that edit, even if I did remember what was there, removing it now would be just as wrong. We would need to simply add it to the daughter's page.

I think the bigger question is -
How did this mistake even happen?

I have the email confirmation stating I merged into Leah Chase (II)

upon reviewing Leah Chase (I)'s imdb page
this episode https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3398578/?ref_=nm_flmg_slf_8
is credited as "Herself - Guest Diner / Leah's Daughter"
So, obviously, that is one of the credits that belong to Leah Chase (II)
But the the question is - did Leah Chase (I) also have the credit for that episode? It would only make sense, being that she (and the other family members) are credit as Leah's daughter. I mean, who would Leah be if she wasn't in the episode herself.

Hi Wiki contributor,

Yes it looks like that credit belongs on II, and there was also a credit for that episode on I which I've reenabled. It looks like this was a mistake on our part, though looking at the name page it looks like this was the only piece of information that belonged on the previous page.

Regards,
Will
