Issue with IMDb ads

The new IMDb Action Bug covers pictures on every page on Firefox 47. The logo bug is active and is nice, if it didn't block existing information. If clicked on, it directs to the home IMDb page. It is located too low in Firefox 47, not in the correct location next to the search entry field as it is on Chrome. Also, WHY THE HELL DO I HAVE TO "SIGN IN" AGAIN TO POST? I changed my emoticon due to that idiocy!

When I click inside the search bar there is no response. Same when I click on Watchlist or my username, all that happens is the ads on the side change

Whenever I try to click on the top bar of the website, little portraits from the defenders pop up blocking it which makes me unable to click anything up there. How do I get rid of it?

We suspect this is a problem with ad blocking software.  If you are running an ad blocker, please switch it off and let us know if this fixes the problem.

Yes this really, REALLY annoys me !
I put a youtube video here: https://youtu.be/XHyFQEllRnU

solution: get the extension NoScript, or something similar, that allows you to selectively turn off javascript on certain sites.

I'm seriously thinking of closing my account with IMDB and Amazon (who owns it).

As I've said many times, using AdBlockers is a more complicated issue the deeper you look at it.  I don't think we mind non-intrusive ads placed among the content.  What we do mind is when we become at the mercy of the Ad Placer's servers.  Slows down the whole process.  Their agenda opposes the flow of the page load, and attempts to turn the attention to them.  Sometimes with annoying animation or sound.  Sometimes even deciding that accidentally mousing over it is the viewers opting in and now allowing an even more intense marketing tactics.  I would like to see someone look into this and develop certain standards and practices.  What do you think, Col?

i'm getting an idiotic Blade Runner sign over the search bar. it does nothing, except briefly open a new tab. i can't search, i can't get rid of it.
i'm not going to turn off my ad blocker, and i'm not going to be enticed to a film that has advertising which makes me angry by pointlessly ruining my browsing
