You need to go to the page for those titles (for a show, go to the actual episode page), click the "edit page" button, change, next to "cast" "no change" to "correct/delete".  Scroll down and click "continue."  Next to her name, change "Keep, to "correct". Scroll down and click "check these updates." Change the name to "Escobar, Karen (II)." Check the box to provide an explanation and scroll down and click "check these updates."

Fill in your explanation, that this is your credit but you are new to IMDb  and did not have a page, so you need to instead create your page and take the credit off her page. Then check, on the list of same/similar names, the option to create a new page..."This is a different person not currently listed - create 'Escobar, Karen (II)'."

Scroll down and check "re-check these updates."  The editable section will turn to green background and the button at the bottom will change to "submit these updates."  Submit and go on to the other titles/episodes.

Please note, I thought, when you said "that is another Karen...", that you meant that page was.  You'll do the same thing but explain, instead that it's your page, but not your credits and her page needs to be created with those credits.

And, by the way, it's probably not faked or fraudulent, it's far more likely "especially since your page has pictures, that someone added credits and only saw one Karen Escobar and assumed it was the right page.

I agree. But for example if someone looks me up I don't want to pretend that I have a credit that I really don't have, that is why I said about the "Fake and fraudulent". Yes but that other Karen does not have a page. But I will go to the page of those shows, hope I can manage to edit my page well. Thanks so much for your help.

Okay, I'll do it for you and link to this page for verification purpose.

What step are you getting red warning?  I did it while describing and it went to green and let me submit, while I was typing out the steps...I got no red warning at all.

140623-014206-606000 (El Corazon del Oceano)
140623-014542-310000 (Todos quieren con Marilyn)
140623-015608-471000 (Punto de giro)

I think the red warning you got was for this third title.  It got added as a mini-series but whomever listed it did not add episodes.  So, the warning says you must, therefore add a date/date range for the character.  I added 2003 as that's the year for the title and added a miscellaneous comment to the page editor explaining why I did that.  Hopefully it will go through smoothly.

The above submission ID numbers are in case we need to refer back

I'd be careful about sharing emails and phone numbers over this.  It can all be simply and quickly done without having to do that.

I know, I know. Thank you so much! I appreciate this, I am really not IMDB savvy at all! Yes, I am not sharing info though, but there is always the option of just blocking emails and phones if they are annoying lol! THANKS again.

Karen,  Another IMDb data contributor messaged me...i hadn't noticed your two other credits show "uncredited."  When the other three credits are moved off the page, your two "uncredited" titles will probably be removed and not appear until you've added "credited" work.  IMDb makes exceptions to allow "uncredited," but only if the person has "credited" work listed.  So, if you have any credited work to add, you should do so, then the other titles will remain.

Hi Karen, just happened to come across your post while looking for something else. I've had experience with this and the IMDb editors can sometimes take their sweet time fixing things like this. Been a real pain for me to fix this type of thing in the past. http://www.imdb.com/help/show_leaf?namesplit but here is a link that might help. If you have any other questions, you can contact me.

She should not use a split. It should only be used if the credits are separated by different departments.  Like, if the other Karen had only director credits and this Karen is an actress.  A split will not work and should not be submitted.  It should be done as I directed above.. Also, it should only take a few days...but can take between 2 and 14 days.

Well bluesman, I am sure you know best since you obviously spend a lot of time on here...but that link I posted gave a few options from IMDb itself for this situation...which I've followed myself in differing cases.

Yes it's supposed to take only 2-14 days, but I have seen things like this take longer, get rejected for odd reasons and sometimes not get resolved. It can boil down to who the editor is approving the change from IMDb.

I've been here and on the original Help board for about 14 years and have never seen things "not resolved."  Of course, there have been requests not granted for valid reasons.  But, that's still "resolved."

Yes, there is an option for correcting without splitting...that's what I described, step by step, above.

Especially, with shows/episodes, it's incredibly difficult to do what the page you gave suggests since the formatting is very difficult and picky and you have to type it precisely right.  It's a lot easier to go to the episode page and change it there.  So, that's why I recommended it over the page...no need to confuse the issue further.

But, thanks for helping out. I don't know what the site would think of you asking for phone numbers here (even if just offering yours...as that would result in you having hers). They might not like it much, nor the implication that it would be better than getting direction provided right on site.

If your submissions take more than 14 days, you should then post the submission ID number here and upload evidence as it's either been done wrong or it could not be verified (or it's something outside the guidelines for inclusion).
