I have recently been given a credit for a film I've worked on (as an actress) - I do not have a profile/resume on IMDB so how do I 'claim' the credit as mine?

Add your credit to the film's entry then submit evidence (ideally a screenshot of your name in the credits) using this form:

http://www.imdb.com/helpdesk/data_ver...

When accepted the system will create your own entry.

So, the film I was in already has me listed - there just isn't a profile (information, photo, etc) attached to my name. I'm looking for information on how to create that profile so it can be linked to the credit.

It gets done automatically. If it's on the page for the film, but not your page, the process simply hasn't completed yet. You likely just have to wait a while longer. What is the film? Which is your credit?

This is your entry:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5895974/

You just need to wait while the pages get rebuilt for the new credit - you will see this kind of mismatch in credits with newly accepted submissions because the processes that do the rebuilding run at different times on different pages. It should sort itself out in a day or two.

Feel free to add links and/or a bio or anything else you want (photos and resume will require an IMDB Pro subscription) to that entry as it is about you.

You need to add it to the page for the film. You'd click the yellow "edit page" button and add it to the cast. You should add proof of the credit, like a screen capture of your name appearing in the on screen credits, upload the pic to a pic hosting site, then send it in using this form http://www.imdb.com/helpdesk/data_ver....
When your name has been added to the film's page, a page will be created in your name with that credit listed.

Instruction area for adding data is: www.imdb.com/czone/

You can add bio information, etc., by clicking the "edit page" button on your page. If you want to add head shot, photos, resume, etc., you can subscribe to IMDb Pro which has a free trial period, so you can see if it can help you. Once logged in to Pro, click the red "Claim Page" link to link your account to your IMDb page and you can upload your pictures.
