I need help fixing the IMDB app on my Kindle Fire. I am unable to log into my account using the IMDB app. It says "There was a problem activating your account" and I am given the option to continue without an account. I am currently using Kindle Fire system version 7.5.1_user_5174320. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi Martha,

Have you attempted to login to your IMDb.com login account on a desktop browser such as Chrome or FireFox? If so, please attempt to login and if you are successfully able to please restart your Kindle and launch the IMDb application to see if you are successfully able to login at that point. If not, please respond back providing which option you are selecting when attempting to login to the IMDb Kindle application.

Best,
Kurt

Hi Kurt. I am able to login to my IMDB account on my desktop Safari browser. I have restarted my Kindle and even cleared my IMDB data and forced quit it on my Kindle, but I still get the "problem activating account" error. I have even tried troubleshooting my Kindle. This started after my nephew somehow reset my Kindle to factory defaults and it hasn't been quite the same after, but IMDB is what I would really like to login to. Thank you for your help with this.

Thank you for your reply, Martha.

I've reached out to our technical team and can confirm that the IMDb app version for your Kindle Fire device no longer supports signing in on the IMDb app. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

You can continue using the IMDb app for general usage, but will need to use your mobile browser to use your IMDb account's features.

Please let us know if we can offer any further assistance.
