I can't add my acting credit to my own project!? I am able to add all the other cast members.. but not me!? WHY!?

It's a little frustrating that every time I submit my cast members from the CATALYST Series project, all actors have been submitted into the cast sections except myself.. I am Terrence Edmonds and I approve this message. I am the director, writer, and leading actor playing the main character Max Montgomery.

If I could please have some assistance in submitting this credit I would greatly appreciate it.
Any questions and concerns please contact me at CatalystSeries@gmail.com

Thank you,
Terrence Edmonds

If/when a submission has been rejected (has not appeared after two weeks), you should post here the Submission ID Reference Number and staff can check on the status. If it could not be verified it's a good idea to, at the same time, add a screen capture of your name appearing in the credits. It can be forwarded to the page editor so it can be verified and approved.

Good luck!

Thank you for your advice. This project is currently in pre-production. I'm confused as to why only parts of my contributions have been posted.

Couldn't tell ya. I am not staff and cannot see into that submission ID number. They can check it for you and see if something was done wrong or something is missing. If you post the entire content of the emailed receipt you received upon submitting the info, perhaps experienced contributors can take a look and see if anything is wrong. Otherwise, staff will probably take a look tomorrow (they tend to be here most often 9-5, M-F, US Pacific time). For starters, you just submitted it today...if you are re-submitting before waiting two weeks, you may be slowing the process as they will put aside a pending submission so they can compare it to the new one to see if there is a change or other reason it was re-submitted.

Yeah! Oftentimes it's the case... It being the situation, try to weigh-in available options and re-send your contributions for consideration..

Bert,
It's far better to ask here what the problem is and fix it rather than just re-submitting. Re-submitting should have the same result. Changing something, then re-submitting, just to try it out, means that one of them is wrong. So, you don't learn for next time. It's better to learn what should be done...in case there's a next time.

I can clearly submit the other actors in my project but it's not adding my name. I've added credits of mine before without a problem

So I see, from the title and text of your initial post...

Within what time frame did you submit them? Because one or more got approved and added and yours did not show up yet doesn't necessarily mean it was rejected. But I can only make guesses without knowing what you submitted and when. Staff can take a look for you, though.

I do notice that the edit page only lists two names in the cast. That means the cast submissions are still updating. You might, at this point, just wait a few days before worrying about it as it still might be approved but not processed fully. Re-submitting might slow it down.

It's always good to also check the Data Processing Times page to see if they are even likely to be working on your submission yet and wait at least until your submission is older than the oldest one on the stack.

Just curious, is the title "CATALYST Series" or is it "CATALYST" and it is a series, as opposed to a film? If the latter, you have the title formatted wrong and the result is it's listed as a film. I notice that your teaser just refers to it as "CATALYST."

What is the title that will appear on screen? And, is it that because it's a series or is it a film?

It is both. The title that will appear on screen will be CATALYST Series. It is a film thats broken down into a series for the web

But i guess in this case we would need to change the format to tv (web series) as they will break down into episodes

Do you have any suggestion on how to go about that?

Yes. Edit the title to format it as "CATALYST Series" (2014), including the quotes. Formatting it that way tells the system it's a series, not a film.

Just go to the title's page, click the "edit page" button and choose "Title correction" which is near the bottom of the page under "Other Corrections." It will change the format and allow you to add episodes as you have them. Then, all your credits should be added at that episode level.

The type of title is controlled by the Title formatting.  For a TV Series, the title is wrapped in quotes. This  is explained in the Submission Guide: Title Formats

In your case you would use the Edit page button and then select to Add correction to Title Correction (in the Other Corrections section at the bottom of the page.

You would enter the new title as "CATALYST Series" (2015)
Two messages will be triggered; one is caused by the word series in your title, and the other is the warning that you are changing the Type of title. Since  that is what you want to do, just check the 2 Warning understood, go ahead anyway boxes.

Hi Terence -

Once the title is listed as a TV Series, you will then be able to submit your credits to the applicable episode titles you worked on.  If after submitting your episode credits the updates are not processing, the best thing to do is post screen grabs here to help our staff verify your credits.
