I am credited please remove uncredited - TV episode

I worked on an episode of a tv show 'Winter' and it comes up as uncredited. I submitted the character name and number and still it shows as uncredited. I don't want uncredited credits on my page, the production company thinks it's on IMDB end and now IMDB won't even take it off.

If you post your Submission ID Reference Number for the submission, staff can check on the status. Also, if you can add evidence, preferably a screen capture of your name appearing on screen, staff can forward it to the page editor and it might help get the submission accepted.

I'm assuming this is it: #150205-154838-285000

Where do I add my evidence?

Do you have an image of your name appearing in the credits? An image of you on screen helps get an "uncredited" listing, but does not prove your name appeared on screen. The definition of "uncredited" is that you appeared, your name did not. Without the "uncredited" attribute, you're implying the role was credited, meaning your name appeared on screen.

No the name did not as it was only a very short credit list (5 main actors, director, costume etc.) Another show was previewing over the top of credits, hence, the limited credits shown. Any other proof I can give you?

No proof exists. "Uncredited" simply means your name did not appear on screen (which is very common for tv shows as they're anxious to get to advertising and/or on to the next show before folks turn the channel). So, if your name does not appear in the credits, there is nothing to prove. The listing is only correct if it includes the "uncredited" attribute.

okay I'll try a 'version' of the show (not trough the channel itself) and get back to you.

Thanks

I am not sure what that means but the listing for a title includes the data for how it was originally shown. Creating or giving a separate "version" that has changed the credits listing would not help. If they've changed the entry to "uncredited" though you submitted it without the attribute, it'll likely be scrutinized carefully.

Just so you know, accuracy in submitting data is tracked and the more you submit things improperly, the more likely your future contributions will be scrutinized more carefully and you might have difficulty adding to your page.

Should be fine, but it's up to the page editors. So..

Staff, please check Reference Number 150205-154838-285000 and apply screen cap above.

Would it be possible to wait until the DVD is out and then submit a screen cap from those credits (in which I will be credited in the final full-length credits)? It's all a little confusing as I'm clearly in the second episode for a sufficient amount of time in a speaking role. Seems to be an odd justification when the end tv version is cut-down for advertising.

No on here decides on justification or whether credit is due or not, or how many names to credit. The site documents what appears on screen in film/tv. They don't decide who that includes or excludes. That's up to the filmmakers or show producers. You'd have to take that up with them

The box scores of a baseball game just lists the names that had official at bats. They don't include every player who has contributed in any other way. So, it's up to the manager who gets the top billed roles...not the guy at the newspaper or MLB.com who simply reports the box score.

You're very welcome.

Hi Geordie -

Just pitching in here, I see that both your "Winter"episode credits are listed (one is uncredited):
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3994870/

Is the most recent screen grab you posted for your role on "Skeletons" or "Gone Girl"?

Hi Michelle,

Thanks for your reply. Honestly not sure as the screen grab was sent to me by my Aussie reps. I think, to avoid any problems/confusions, I'm going to wait until I get a hold of the DVD version in which the full length credits will indicate my credit.

Alternatively, If this issue is submitted by the 'Winter' production company itself (an email saying I'm a credited actor in the second ep.) will that pull any weight? A more 'influential' validation than that of myself.

Hi Michelle,

Okay, I was able to purchase a copy of the 'Winter' DVD and have taken a screen shot of my credit from the second episode straight from the DVD itself. The previous screenshot was taken from the Network 7 streaming site so this is a lot more legitimate. Please see photos attached proving my credit for ep 2 'Gone Girl'.
