Marleah Stout asked:
Is there any way to look at the IMDB star meter without it including people who have passed on? So the numbers would be lowered for people who are still living.

A very knowledgeable IMDb user, MayorDefacto, offered this partial solution:

Although this is not something the site offers, it can be approximated, albeit imperfectly. The results would be full of errors as the site has no way of knowing if thousands of names listed in the database are still living. However, such a list could be reasonably accurate for perhaps the first 5000-10000 names. These people are probably well enough known that a death date would be listed if they had passed. So, keeping in mind that the farther down the list you go, the less accurate it becomes:

Most Popular People With Date of Death Later Than 2014

The list is found by searching for everyone with a death date through the current year, and then negating that parameter. The list is identical to the full StarMeter list until position #109 where Audrey Hepburn is currently the Most Popular Dead Person. The "full" list of popular ghosts (with the caveat that IMDb doesn't always know when someone dies) is obtained by removing the negate operator (!) from that URL.

Most Popular People With Date of Death No Later Than 2014
