How does one supply references for goofs?

The submission guide's goofs section lists that factual errors can include a reference at the end of the submission.  I didn't see a separate text box for said reference but wanted to include a screen grab that proved my "goof."  The submission was automatically rejected with errors for:
  • "bad formatting / no punctuation at the end"
This makes sense because it was an imgur URL.
  • "URLs will not be published"
Okay ... but my reference material was a link.
There were also warnings for spelling mistakes because of the URL (http, imgur, png).  This seems very confusing to a new user.

Links to evidence to prove submissions can be sent on the data verification form or the image can be uploaded here and posted with the submission ID number so staff here can forward it to page editors (use the little camera Icon to upload).
