I recently completed a feature film where I was the Production Coordinator. They created the page for the film but I was not listed in the credits because they said they could only list 5 people in the credits. How do I get credit on my page for the film that I worked on as the production coordinator on Imdb?

This may have been the result of a misunderstanding. Production coordinators are listed under "Other Crew" (usually), and even in an initial submission, one can submit up to 50 credits in the Other Crew section. (There is a way to submit even more credits than that later on if needed -- see if that matters.)

That said, one can always go back later and submit additional credits to a film that couldn't be submitted the first time around. Go to the film's page, click "Edit page", and on the next screen, on the Other Crew line (the last line in the Cast and Crew section), select "Add 1 credit" (or if there are more Other Crew members who got left out the first time around, select to add more than that). Scroll down and click "Continue".

On the next screen, you will be able to enter the credit. In the name box, enter your name, last name first (example: Fountain, Susan if that is your name and the way you were credited in the film). In the occupation box, you can select "production coordinator" from the drop-down box because it is there. If you were adding a job that was not listed in the drop-down box, you would select "Other (use box below)" and then type the job in the box below. Click "Check these updates".

On the next screen, if your name is new to the IMDb, you will get a warning You would likely select "This is a different person not currently listed - create 'Fountain, Susan'." Click "Re-check these updates".

On the next screen, your data should appear with a green background and you should be able to click "Submit these updates".

There may be various issues that could complicate the submission (for example, if you weren't credited in the film itself, or if you were credited but your name was misspelled in the film credits), but if anything like that applies, you can ask and someone here will advise you. The instructions above apply to the "normal" situation.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

That is only a limit on the number of crew added in the that category on a form, not a limit on what may be added to database.

By the way, I just checked to Add Title form and, unless I made a mistake every crew section allows at least 10 credits to be added (some significantly more). Production Coordinator seems to be added primarily in the Other Crew Section which on the Add Title form allows up to 50 credits to be added.

To answer your question, you can submit the credit yourself. However, whether it will be accepted depends on a number of factors.

1) Do you currently have an IMDb Name page with credits?
2) Is your name listed on screen in the film credits?

If your name is listed in the on-screen credits, then under IMDb's regulations you get a IMDb listing. However, you may need to supply evidence that you were listed on screen for them to accept the add request.

If you don't already have a Name page, IMDb is unlikely to accept a credit submission without evidence that the on-screen credit exists (specifically a capture of the name in the credits), as only an on-screen credit is allowed to create a new page.

If you are not listed in the credits, the situation is a little grayer. Any credit added in this case must contain the attribute (uncredited). In order to be eligible for this type of credit, you must already have at least one credit listed on IMDb. If you don't already have this, then you should collect evidence that you worked on this project so you can submit it once you do get a valid standard credit listed.
