There is an episode of a series and yet it does not appear in that show's "How many episodes of XXX have you seen?" This occurs on several "How many" pages. How do I get that corrected?

I would suggest posting the series URL and the missing episode(s) URL(s) here.
If you'd rather keep it private, you can submit your findings via the IMDb Contact Form:

I'm going to speculate here: my guess is that episodes without season designation don't appear on the "seen" list.

When I look at the series page for 1973 (the episode's date), I see "unknown" season/episode on the image. Also notice the first 10 episodes on this page DO have a season/ep#.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055708/episodes?year=1973

When I look at the "seen" page and use the browser Find function to look for 1973, I only find the 10 episodes with season/ep#.

I'd bet that if season/ep#s were assigned to the unknowns, they would appear on the "seen" page.
But I have no idea of the correct method for assigning those numbers. Does a season start in Jan for year-round shows like this?

Yes, I think you are right. I think at at that time, January was the beginning of the season. Based on that, I just calculated and submitted an edit to make that episode 12.179 Season 12 Episode 179. If that doesn't fix it, I don't know what would.

@Calvin Caylor and @bderoes,

bderoes asked me to look at this thread since I've extensively used IMDb's Seen feature. I've not seen this problem before. However, bderoes assessment makes sense. At the moment I cannot think of an alternative explanation. If I think of another reasonable explanation, I will post it in this thread.

If the proposed solution doesn't resolved the issue, we may need to have the IMDb technical staff look at the problem.

Thanks for the update, Calvin. Glad it worked.

Dan, maybe a summary of this deserves to be on the Seen FAQ page?

@bderoes,

I agree. I will try to update the page within the next few days.

Ultimately, IMDb's help pages need to have documentation on the seen feature.
