I have 4 different imdb sections.... 2 are for acting, and 2 are for editing and post production.... How do I get imdb to combine them? They are listed as Rick Simone (I) through Rick Simone (IV)

If you have two name pages, the main one and t'other one...go to t'other one and find the edit page button at the bottom of the page:

On the next screen you'll see this - select the option for name correction and go next.

Next screen you enter the name you wish to change to - for a merge this is simply the name of your other page...ideally enter it number and all - but even if you don't the next screen will help you out. If you have a second name page with a slightly differ (John Smith Jr.) then leave the "preserve previous name" ticked - it will still merge but with a note that will say (as John Smith Jr) - it is factual and keeps people from thinking it is a mistake to credit the work to John Smith.
The reason can just be "same person"...but if you have some detail do add it:

Next screen will offer you other names just as a check - tick the right one and move on:

The final screen is just a sanity check, checking you are not trying to do something else and that you are sure...acknowledge the warning and proceed:

Final screen - green to go...hit submit.

^all this made it sound really long and complex...but it is quite easy to do and takes 2 minutes max....hopefully you never need to do it again, but just in case.

Rick,
No offence intended, but are you sure that you are Rick Simone (I)?

You mentioned you had credits in 4 categories, but Rick Simone (I) has credits across 6 categories....it would not be good if you accidentally merged the wrong names....

Rick,
It is quite common...when adding a credit to IMDb you'll have warnings and questions like you see when you do a merge.....so sometimes it is difficult for people to be sure if the Rick Simone who they are adding as an editor for the first time, is the same Rick Simone that only has acting credits....so they create (II) assuming it is a different person.

A better example is, one of the crew in a film is called John Smith....well there are 200 people on IMDb with that exact name, so it is very unlikely i will get the right one unless I happen to know another credit the person did (and even then, many of those 200 John Smiths may be duplicates.)

With someone like you who has work in so many categories, it is not unusual.

You may have already done the merge request, but regardless I have also done updates 141123-053509-682000, 141123-053505-929000 and 141123-053503-416000 to take:
and merge them all into Rick Simone (I).

Can take days up to a week, so don't repeat the merge request 5 times today because you think it has not worked!

Rick,
Like Jimmy Grimbles, Kentucky, and Highlanders, there is now only one Rick Simone.

It looks like all data made the move - but if anything is missing that was there before then do not worry immediately, it can sometimes can a few days all for the data to migrate.....
