You can with "Advanced Title Search." At the search box, change "all" to "advanced search," then select "Advanced Title Search." Then enter what you need to include or exclude and do your search.

Dear  bluesmanSF, Champion!

This is what I have written a few moments ago to a lady, that gave pretty much the same answer...mind you--- never before did we have to click like crazy and filter our search on 'documentary' button.
I don't see any need for this to be an issue. I love IMDb and I know that it would be more easier (for tech staff and) for all of us, if IMDb just introduced a new genre list like 'TV reality' or something 'cause while I love Mythbusters I hate to see 'Shahs of Sunset' and similar stupid shows on documentary list of movies. With that said non of this shows including Mythbusters does not apply for a list where there are movies (mostly full-lenght; about and over 80 minutes).
This list is a problem and I hate to think that IMDb is not givin' a damn about public opinion. There should be a solution for this, 'cause it's obviously making people nervous and unsatisfied with the experience.
Thank you!
