Filmography titles out of order

Under my filmography credits on my IMDB page, all of my old Camera/Electrical Department credits come before my Cinematography credits. I would prefer of course for my cinematography credits to be seen first when viewing my page since at the moment they're not only at the bottom of the page, but minimized under a tab. Is there any way to change this???

This is all done automatically, so there is no way to change this.

So what you're saying is that for the rest of my career as a cinematographer, the world is always going to see my AC credits first on my IMDB page? That's just silly. There must be a way to contact IMDB and have it moved around or something.

It's done automatically based on quantity. Once you have more cinematography credits than camera credits, they will be shown first on your IMDb page.

I have 19 Cinematography credits and 15 camera/electrician credits. So this must not be the case

If anything, it's an alphabetical issue since CIN comes after CAM, and SOUND is the last section on the bottom.

I'm not sure if in-production movies count for this purpose, since they are subject to change or be removed. That being the case the count stands at 15-15, and one of your 15 Camera Department credits is for a TV-show with multiple episodes, which most likely weighs that group in favor of the other at the moment.

The official word is that this is done automatically based on number of credits, and that there is no way to change it. However, I'm quite confident that once one or more of your in-production titles as cinematographer is released, those credits will be shown on top of your page.

I agree with those who've responded so far.  It's also explained, as they've explained, in the Frequently Asked Questions area of the Help section on site, if you want a more official explanation http://www.imdb.com/help/search?domain=helpdesk_faq&index=1&file=creditsorder&ref_=hlp_s...

It's all automated and is not subject to change upon request.

Actually in this case, it is a problem with the way IMDb notes items.

In the Section headers IMDb lists a count of titles that counts each TV Series as a single title; however, for the sort algorithm each Episode is counted as a separate title. Therefore the 21 Titles in Camera and Electrical beats out the 19 in Cinematographer.

This is most easily seen in the Filmography Summary (on IMDb Pro) which includes the line:

By Profession:
All
Camera and Electrical Department [21] / Cinematographer [19] / Sound Department [1]

As soon as you get 3 more Cinematography credits (assuming you don't also get more Camera credits) the Cinematographer Section should float to the top of your Filmography.
