David Benioff has one other major franchise credit on his resume, X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009). Fans had one major takeaway from it...they ruined Deadpool! With the last season of Game of Thrones (2011) receiving bad reviews, mainly from the handling of Daenerys Targaryen. Which character's story arc was more unforgiving?

I know I will be an inevitable minority in this one, but I actually prefer X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) to The Wolverine (2013) and Logan (2017). All three movies are fairly decent, but the latter two, despite being way more acclaimd simply lack the punch and fall into area of "okay" with me. That is especially the case with Logan (2017) which actually managed to nonchalantly cannibalize significiant chunks of X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985). The funniest part is that it was praised for exact same things for which the other three were panned: it just was released in an uncanny lucky spot when people wanted exactly that from an X-Men movie and totally forgot that they got it already.

Don't get me wrong, Origins has a ton of problems: logic was thrown out of window in at least a third of that movie's plot, some of the characters were adapted rather loosely... But overall it has some very solid acting and soul on its own. It also had a theme, something I find lacking in most of the recent superhero movies, Logan (2017) included.

I think I would have enjoyed Origins more if they didn't go down the Stryker well again. Not much can happen to the bad guy if we know going in what happens based on the previous movies. Only thing I enjoyed was Gambit; Sabretooth was cool too.

I can not totally agree with you Nikolay, in my opinion Logan is one of the best movies in the saga, not only Wolverine, but X Men, Origins also has its own, but it did not convince me, in fact at the time repudie but over time I have been grabbing love, unlike The Wolverine that for me is indefensible, but it is only my opinion.
