Apparently, this episode's first airtime will be 10 PM US Eastern time today, July 16 — that is eighteen hours after the time of this post — yet ratings have already been enabled, and some apparently bogus ratings have been recorded.

Can IMDb delete the early ratings?
Can IMDb disable further ratings, until after the episode's first airtime?

Nobo and Steve: I believe that this problem arose because the episode was first scheduled to premiere on July 9, but was delayed until July 16 due to the announcement of the new Supreme Court nominee. See http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news/2018/07/06/cbs-programming-advisory-for-monday-july-9-183400/2018... and http://www.thefutoncritic.com/showatch/elementary/listings/.

If the episode was previously listed in IMDb with a July 9 release date, some people might have voted for it (without seeing it) before the release date was changed.

Unless someone can find evidence that this episode did air in some other country or medium before today, I would agree with Nobo that votes received before July 16 should be removed.

That said, it's my understanding that IMDb starts accepting votes at the beginning of the release date. So if a TV show is scheduled to premiere at 11:00 p.m. on a given day, votes can be submitted up to 23 hours before that.

... If the episode was previously listed in IMDb with a July 9 release date, some people might have voted for it (without seeing it) ...
Searching for evidence in cached pages, I found one from Bing's cache, dated July 13th, showing that a few (8) ratings had been submitted by that date (and the episode's airdate was still listed as July 9th). ... So yes, ratings for this episode apparently have been enabled since the 9th, as you say.
