Disability Pride NYC, holds an annual Parade in the Flatiron section of NYC.  Our goal is in changing the social/public views of people with disabilities!  Our motto: INCLUSION, AWARENESS, VISIBILITY - E.V.E.R.Y.W.H.E.R.E!   We see the changes happening every year!  The Disability Pride Annual Parade, has been an awesome awakening to all who attend!  It's a truly amazing event, with room for improvement with the help of more disabled performers!   It is ridiculous when non-disabled actors, play people with disabilities?  An outrage today, to see a character of a different culture/race, being played by a made-up actor?  The different points of views, ideas, and richness of people not explored, all dismissed because of a disability?  Disability Pride would like to see actor/performers help us, support by becoming "Marshalls" & marchers, all our causes of jobs/housing/health!  These affect everyone, whether disabled or not.  Your pride, brings pride to the many thousands of disabled person, families, friends, and also people with invisible disabilities!

I will get in touch with 15 Minutes PR, and also Greater Talent!  Thank you for this information.
I have seen Ms. Matlin at several events.  I love her message, and the pride it brings others who
identify with success coupled with a disability.  There are not enough performers who can be
honest with their disability, and not fear discrimination as an Actor.  There are not many human
qualities we fear, but the many varieties of disabilities we exhibit.  As some of us stand by, and
do nothing?  Ms. Matlin has been one of the many courageous, and outspoken pioneers out
there.  I listened to Ms. Matlin's speech in November 2017 in Boston, always a  pleasure to
listen!
