Deleting duplicate film I posted

Hi, I accidentally posted my recent short film twice. I'd like to remove the first one I added. So far I've tried merging titles, but that either hasn't gone into effect or hasn't worked. I also tried deleting my initial post within my update history, and that also hasn't worked. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Matthew: I assume this has to do with the film For the Benefit of Mr. Winston.

If so, your initial plan to try to merge the two titles was the right idea. According to the processing times page at https://contribute.imdb.com/times, the oldest unprocessed merge is from September 19. If you submitted the merge on or before September 17 (allowing one day of leeway due to timezone issues), then there was a problem with your submission and you may need to re-submit it. But if your submission was made on September 18 or later, just wait and see if it gets processed.

***
If you do need to re-submit the merge, go to the page for the entry with the higher roman numeral, For the Benefit of Mr. Winston (2020/II) at https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10993904/. Click "Edit page".

On the next screen, scroll down to the Title Correction line, near the bottom of the page, and select "Add correction" on that line. Click "Continue".

On the next screen, there will be a blank line on which to enter the corrected title. Enter it as:
For the Benefit of Mr. Winston (2020/I)

In the Explanation box, enter something like, "I am an actor, writer, and producer for this film. This is a duplicate entry and this film has been entered into IMDb twice. The two entries need to be merged." Click "Check these updates".

On the next screen, you will get a warning that says, "The new title already exists in IMDb. Are you sure you wish to merge this title page into this other page for the identically named For the Benefit of Mr. Winston (2020/I)? ..." That's what you want, so check the box marked "Warning understood, go ahead anyway." Click "Re-check these updates".

On the next screen, your data should appear with a green background, and you should be able to click "Submit these updates".

***
By the way, deleting the entry from your update history at https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/history/ will have no effect on the information shown in the database. The update history is just for your own reference and it doesn't matter whether you keep everything or delete everything from it.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Thanks for your help! Seems like I'm on the right track. Hopefully the titles will merge soon.
