Date Added Feature is not working correctly

When lists are sorted using 'Date Added' feature, they are mostly, but not completely displaying movies I've added in chronological order.

My best guess is perhaps page edits are causing some movies to appear earlier

Please look into this issue as some movies are appearing out of order.

This issue is there even on the IMDb app.

I'd suggest you provide a url of a list that has this problem.
If it's a private list, you might also need to provide screenshots.

For example, I saw 'Dia' recently, but it appears way below older movies in my list.

This doesn't give enough info.
Are you sorting by date added, descending?
That's something that can be seen in the URL.
The default sort, of List Order, is really Date Added, ascending (unless you've re-positioned some titles.)
For instance, I've moved some titles around on this list, so these 2 displays are not in the same order:
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls099464379/?sort=date_added,desc
https://www.imdb.com/list/ls099464379/?sort=list_order,desc
The direction of the sort is controlled by the little arrow to the right of the sort selection:

This one is currently offering to sort ascending (the up arrow is darker) because the current sort is descending (the down arrow is paler).

I'm using the default order. As I mentioned, it isn't just these two movies, but there are quite a lot that are inconsistent. Also if it were a simple sort issue, it wouldn't require a forum post.

Please look into the exact code logic. It looks like date added is being overridden by other timestamps.

And the default sort order of WHAT? A custom list, a Watchlist, something else? What are you displaying in your sample? Again, a URL would help us understand what you are trying to report.

As I said above, "The default sort, of List Order, is really Date Added, ascending," which means the oldest title is first. So I see nothing wrong with the sample you posted. You said you added the title at (view position) 19 after others. Perhaps after about 18 others.

Without specific data, no technician is going to find what you claim. No one else has been reporting this, and I don't see it in my own lists. (I'm just a user of IMDb, with great familiarity in Lists, not IMDb staff.)

In addition to a URL, you probably need to do an Export of the list, and annotate what you see as being "wrong".

If your list is too private to share the details here, then maybe you should report your problem to
