Topher: First of all, is it possible that these credits belong to another person with the same name as you? If so, they should be re-assigned to that other person rather than being deleted altogether.

Second, what credits are they? Maybe someone here will be able to find evidence that the particular job on the film was held by a different person altogether.

Without knowing what pages/names/titles you're talking about, it'd just be a shot in the dark. But...couple of things...

I see:

Topher Osborn (Cinematographer, Dear White People (2014))

Christopher Osborn (I) (Editorial Department, Well-Founded Fear (2000))
Christopher Osborn (II) (Cinematographer, Un cuento (2007))
Christopher Osborne (I) (Actor, Wastelanders (2011))
Christopher Osborne (III) (Sound Department, Dying Light (2013))
Christopher Osborne (II)

Topher Osbourn (Cinematographer, Stay Still (2011))

If you're the name at the top, I see a bunch of credits shown "(as Christopher Osborn)."  Is it possible it's those you're talking about and that someone "merged" your page and someone that goes by "Christopher" thinking you were the same person? If that's what you mean, perhaps staff can take a look and see if the merge can be undone before corrections get made (but you'd have to specify that's what they're looking for and ask that specifically).

Just a second note which might be a non-issue, just thought I'd bring it up, does the credit under Topher Osbourn (Cinematographer, Stay Still (2011)) by any chance belong to you? If so, that page should be merged with yours (which would also correct the name).

Hi there,

Thank you for getting back to me.

Dear White People is indeed my credit.

Everything else below you listed above is not.

As far as possible mergings, unmergings, etc... i really have no idea.
Im not trying to correct all of IMDB, but i would like to have my own page reflect my work accurately.

Can we do this?

Well, I certainly was not talking about correcting all of IMDb, but just your page.

If your page was merged with another person, staff might be able to undo the merge and return your page back to how it was before, eliminating the problem.

As to how you'd go about fixing the problem, again, with not information I have no idea how you should proceed, or what you've done yourself (that seems not to be working).  My guess would be that the credits belong to someone with the same name or by someone that goes by Christopher Osborn.

To correct that, you'd either ask staff to undo a merge if that's what happened or edit the pages for those titles that don't belong to be named, as the person to whom they belong, is named on his IMDb page. You'd, therefore, click "edit page" on the title page involved, edit cast/crew to correct the name credited from yours (as it appears on IMDb) to his (whomever he is-as it appears on IMDb). If you cannot figure it out, there is an option for "I am not sure, I'll let you decide," and you can let IMDb figure out which, if any in existence, is the correct page for the credit.  If the title is available for viewing, it can also be checked for what's in the on screen credits. So, if your name does not appear, you could use that as evidence.

No one here can really answer without knowing which credits you're talking about (and still may not know to whom they belong) but we could suggest a course of action with more information.

When asking if two pages might have been "merged," the way you'd know it is if you're on your page often and then suddenly one day, a bunch of other data appeared.

Re: "can we do this?"

Without knowing what needs correcting, I can't. Maybe you can. The key would be, don't just simply ask IMDb to remove a piece of data if it can be corrected. They, as you see, won't do so. People are constantly trying to delete information they prefer not to be on the page listing their credits, but IMDb does not let users decide which to display and which to remove. If it's all accurate it should all be displayed. So, if you need to remove something that is likely appearing in the credits, but it's a same/similar name situation, you'll have more success correcting it instead of removing it.

Good luck!

Topher: Can you please go into further detail?

Some of the credits listed at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2616863/ are in fact listed by you on your official web site:
Dear White People (2014)
Social Media Anonymous (2013)
Tiny Commando (2013)
Cleaner (2013)
Futurestates: The Living (2013)
Range Junkies (2013)
Coogan Auto (2013)
Kiss Me (2012)
Contra El Mar (2011)
An African Election (2011)

So we know that at least those credits should not be removed from your IMDb page. Which credits do you believe should be removed from your IMDb page? And for those other credits, do you know who the cinematographer was if it wasn't you?
