Hi Berchenko,

Do you mean Abkhazia? I do not think it can be considered as an independent territory and therefore should be hosted under Georgia.

Quebec and Catalunya have a strong cinema presence, both in production and festivals, but are registered under Canada and Spain respectively.

Hi, Vincent Fournols. Yes, i mean Abkhazia. This country  won its independence during the war of 1992-93. Other countries also recognize the independence of Abkhazia. On the other hand, there is Kosovo in the list of countries, whose independence is recognized by only half of the UN countries. Let us balance the rights of countries that seek state independence.

Hi IMDb,

IMDb is no place for political stances, only the internationally acknowledged situations prevail. Kosovo is recognized by the UN, when only 7 countries have recognized Abkhazia (Russia, Syria, Venezuela, Tuvalu, Nauru, Nicaragua and Vanuatu; check Wikipedia).

There is also the case of the Republic of Northern Cyprus, which is recognized only by Turkey...

This is only my 2 cents, as I am no IMDb staff. So I will let them decide over your request.

Interesting. This would probably boil down to whether or not both the United States and United Kingdom recognize Abkhazia as a sovereign nation, even if informally.

The current geopolitics does not makes it plausible in the years to come...
