Correcting storyline at TOP of page

The film in question is http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107497/
Malice (1993)

The storyline blurb, which is shown at the top of the page right under the title, is incorrect. I submitted an edit to the Storyline text (in the middle of the page), and it appears correctly there, but the top of the page still shows the old, incorrect edit.

Is this something I should escalate to the IMDB admins for technical review?

Thanks-

There are two different sections when you correct the plot data, outline and summary. The outline is the one displayed at the top of the page, so presumably this is the one you want to correct.

Currently the film has both an outline and a summary, but they are almost identical. This is unusual, especially since the summary is meant to be longer than the outline. If the outline is incorrect, you could arguably choose to delete rather than correct it.

When I checked the two items Peter mentioned, they seem to be identical. Since you are saying that you changed one item, and the changes are showing but the other is incorrect, I am guessing you changed the Synopsis, not the Outline or Summary.

The Outline should be a very short item - not more than two lines, while the Summary is supposed to be about 10 lines. Both of these have to be submitted through the main Edit page system and reviewed by the Data Managers. Neither of these should contain any spoilers.

The Synopsis, on the other hand is one of the 'swiki' sections on IMDb; it is immediately update-able by users without any need for the Data Managers to check it. This should be a scene-by-scene description of the film and can contain spoilers.

All three of these are in separate lists, and changes made to any one of them will not affect the others.

If you changed the Synopsis, and wish to correct the others, you will need to submit Update requests, starting by clicking the yellow Edit page button near the bottom of the page.

It might be a good idea to check the 3 Submission Guides in the Plot & Swiki Sections of the Data Submission Guides page for the official description of what is wanted for each one.
