Contribution rejected twice, despite providing evidence...

I originally submitted a 'Goofs' contribution in November of last year and, on checking my contributions nearly six months later, noticed it had been rejected due to 'Unable to verify'.

Reading the accompanying helpful text, I dutifully popped my DVD back in and grabbed a screenshot of the goof and uploaded it to Imgur, after checking it was an acceptable place to deposit publicly available images.

I then re-submitted (https://contribute.imdb.com/contribution/200520-043115-828000) with the imgur address provided for verification:

and, as can be seen in the above image, it has been declined again. For the very same reason.

I understand that in the 18 years I have been a member, submissions have skyrocketed and many of them have to be speedily and procedurally processed; but one has to wonder if they are actually being read properly at all. My entry clearly provides a publically available proof for simple verification, and I have to assume it was not even looked at.

From what you described, this should be submitted in the actor's Attribute section next to his credit instead of the title's Goofs section.

(as Angus Macfayden)

Include the URL of the screenshot in the submission.

Thanks for the response.

If submitted as an Actor's Attribution, it will be the only time in his entire 30+ years he has been credited as anything but McFadyen or MacFadyen.

He is listed on the back of the DVD case correctly, and the transliteration can only be described as, quite literally. a goof; or 'unintentional error'.

Post-production errors, especially for misspelled names in a project's credit roll, can and do happen more often than not.

Thanks for writing back.

Thanks for reaching out.

You incorrectly added this to the Goofs section. A goof is an unintentional error in the film making process that in some way breaks the spell and takes us momentarily outside the world created by that movie.
