Can you post the Submission ID number (you can get it by logging in and going to this page http://www.imdb.com/updates/history , which can normally be found by going to "site settings" and selecting "view your contributions."  And then, of course, upload the screen grab by clicking the camera icon.  Staff can check status and supply the page editor the proof.

So, does that mean you have not submitted the requests to correct the information?  You'd do that by going to your name page, clicking "edit page" and editing your name.  Then you'd go to the page for that episode and click "edit page" and go to your credit and change the name.  Once those are submitted, you can add the proof (screen grab).

When you say you uploaded the photo...to where did you do that? Here in this thread?

If you submitted all this via the Help desk contact form, you need to actually do it on the submission forms.  They won't add or correct data based on a help desk message.

So, is this your page? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5909380/?ref_=tt_cl_t4 (and I assume it should be "Markus Radan"?)

And, what is the character name supposed to be?

Ah, I see...it's supposed to be "Ashton."  So, have you submitted the requests on the "edit" form to change the names?

Not ONLY is it suppose to be Ashton....they mispelled MY NAME...it is MARKUS RADAN not Markus RadOn....therefore I cannot add the crefit to MY account...is it possible for you to do so on your end??

The following link is where the error appears :

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5909380/

And I would like to be able to add it to MY link which I cannot seem to find now when I search for it...it appears to have been removed...if this can be rectified I will create a new one and associate the credit with the new account

Got it.  Yeah, I see both problems.  Everything can always be corrected (thus the "edit page" button on every page), so don't ever go trying to delete things and re-enter them because of a simple spelling error.

But, I am not following your new comments.  What do you mean by "...cannot add the credit to MY account..."?  Do you mean an IMDb user account?  Credits don't get added to those.  If you mean your IMDb Name Page, that is for displaying your credits, I don't see another than the one with the misspelled names.

If by "account" you simply mean your name page, you should always have one and one only.  So don't ever make a new one to solve a problem on another.

I submitted:

To correct character name 140306-200801-758000

To correct name page  140306-200528-637000

Those are the submission ID numbers in case there are problems and we need to refer back.

If you have another name page that I am missing, it can be merged to the page we just corrected.  If what you mean is, you have a User Account and your Name Page, they don't get linked together unless you have IMDb Pro subscription and then you'd "claim" your page so you can upload head shot, photos, resume, etc.

Ok....maybe this will help things....I created:

http://www.imdb.com/user/ur47020851/?ref_=nb_usr_prof_0

For myself.  I then tried to find the Paranormal Witness episode I was on....only to see the character name and MY name misspelled.  When I attempted to have them corrected....I was informed I could not due to the fact I had nothing to do with the show.

I am guessing the changes you have submitted will take some time to be made as the incorrect names are still posted.

Once the corrections are made, can the credit be posted on MY correct name page?  The reason I ask this is because I have another credit that will be available soon and I would like to have them on my profile if possible

Once again I would like to THANK YOU for all of your help thus far and to let you know it is very appreciated how quickly you are responding to my issue

As I suspected, the link you just posted is a user account.  It has nothing, really, to do with your name page.  Most visitors to the site are not in the entertainment industry.  They are just regular, everyday people who like film/tv.  They can view pages of the site but if they want to use features, like making lists, rating films they've seen and tracking their ratings, chat on message boards, or submit the credits from a movie or tv show they've just seen, they need to create a user account.  Mine, for instance has the ID "bluesmansf."

If I were to start acting and I got credited on film, when the credit is added to the film page, it will create a name page in my name, for example "Joe Smith."  Users of the site can now search my working name, "Joe Smith" and see what films I've been in.  They won't see, and don't need to see, my user profile.  It only appears if I chat on a message board or write a review, etc.  Real names, of those  people who've been credited in film, are searchable.  User accounts are not.

So, while your user account www.imdb.com/user/ur47020851/ (and note it says "user" in the address and has a constant number that begins with "ur") can allow you to log in and add your credits, etc., it should not be used to display your credits.  Only your Name Page, at www.imdb.com/name/nm5909380/ (and note that it says "name" in the address and the constant number begins with "nm"-for Name) is meant to display your real name and credits.  The two are apples and oranges.  They only get linked, in any way, if you subscribe to IMDb Pro and want to upload a head shot, pics and resume, by "claiming" your Name Page.

That's why, by the way, your user account ID didn't allow you to use spaces.  It's like an email address that must not have spaces, does not allow some characters and needs to be unique.

I hope that makes sense.

Changes take between 2 days and 2 weeks to process.  So, it won't be available today...give it, at least, a few days.

As to new credits.  As you have new work to list, go to the page for the film or tv and click the "edit page" button and fill in the forms.  After the credit is added to the page for the title it will migrate to the Name Page in your name, www.imdb.com/name/nm5909380/ .  I don't know who told you that you can't add credits because you have nothing to do with the show, but it was incorrect advice.  Any registered user account can submit data.  So, you might want to get used to adding (and correcting if others do stuff wrong) data.  You can read up the info in the help area http://www.imdb.com/czone/?ref_=hlp_brws .  And, always, help can be found here.

You're always welcome!

I think I understand....the just a few things I would like clarified is....if and when any new credits become available...will they be on the same profile that is being corrected? And when I get a subscription, will I just take over the page that is already created? Or do I create a new one and add all credits at that time?  And lastly...can I add a profile picture to the page that you are correcting?

Any future credits should be added to your Name Page.  You should always only have one name page.  As long as the submitter points the credit to the correct page, they'll end up there.  Mistakes happen though, so it's a good idea to check out your page and make sure everything is there. If a credit ends up on a page with a same or similar name or ends up creating a new page for you, you can "edit page" from that title's page and move it to your page or merge two pages that both represent you/your work.

If/when you subscribe to IMDb Pro, I wouldn't say you "take over" the page.  It always belongs to IMDb and is controlled by the page editors.  But, you'll then notice, when viewing that page in IMDb Pro, there will be a button to "claim" your page.  It creates a link by which you can upload a head shot, up to 100 photos and a resume to be displayed on that same Name Page.  So, you'll have control over those pieces. Anything else gets submitted to page editors by you, me and any registered user to be reviewed by and approved or rejected by the editors.  Don't, at that time, create a new page.  You don't want your credits spread over multiple pages.  You want them all listed on one page.

And, yes, you can add a profile picture (or head shot) if you have a subscription to IMDb Pro.  That's a special service that requires active membership. If you cancel your membership, the picture will disappear from the page until you re-activate your subscription.
