You might have to provide more information, as people here can help but most of us don't have access to helpdesk communication.

Did you mean this film?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0843839/

If not, how do you know they didn't remove the right film? They wouldn't delete a film just on a whim.

Can you give the submission ID? It might be staff can check this and ensure it is sorted out properly. Especially as it doesn't seem possible to edit the aka title, although you could submit a Name Correction and point out the aka should be removed (although you might also want to suggest they are swapped, with Badinage kept as a working title).

Also this is the DVD release right? You might want to also add a (UK?) DVD title of "The Fallen Word and Collected Films" just to help keep everything joined up.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fallen-Word-c...

I know many people are looking for it on IMDB.

It is the first result on the search and shows the correct title:

http://www.imdb.com/find?q=the+fallen...

And it is on the first page of results at Google:

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=%22...

So no need to worry about that.

Anyway, good luck with that, it has been on my Watchlist for a bit (not sure how I stumbled across it now, but I'd imagine it might have come up in my research for my British horror renaissance list, even if I don't think it counts) - will his be on LoveFilm eventually?

It looks like it was, indeed merged, which puts all the data one one page. Badinage, being the original title, is listed as the original title. The new title is lksted as an AKA.

So can you give us the reference number for the merge submission?

It is fixable but it'd be an idea to wait and see what staff say, as they might be able sort things out without your needing to submit a Name Correction.

The primary title (i.e. the title that is associated with the film by default) is the film's original title. Any subsequent retitlings, including DVD releases, are listed as alternate titles. For more details about this, please see http://www.imdb.com/help/show_leaf?ti...

When the film first appeared, it was known as 'Badinage', and it's still listed under this title on other sources such as http://film.britishcouncil.org/badinage so this is the title associated with the film on IMDb and the title that was used when the two listings were merged. Note that "The Fallen Word" is correctly listed as an alternate title: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0843839/r...

Mr. Harrison:

Please note that the film is listed and searchable under both titles.

Can you please clarify whether the film has ever been screened in any form at a festival or other event before 2013? If so, please provide the date/name of the event. Our editors will be happy to review the information and determine which changes need to be applied to the listing.

Thanks for your help

It is listed as "(2009)" which implies a 2009 release date and has a London Film Festival release in 2009 which is likely why it was listed in IMDb in the first place.

Here is the line-up for the 2009 LFF and the film (under either name) isn't on it:

http://www.filmdetail.com/2009/09/09/...

This interview from late 2009 said it was due in 2010:

http://www.apengine.org/2009/11/olive...

Perhaps Oliver can confirm - was it due to be listed at the LFF in 2009 but was delayed?

This also has a provisional 2009 date:

http://www.filmdates.co.uk/films/1089...

http://www.festivalfocus.org/film_vie...

Also worth noting that the film is called Badinage in those links, so, even if the titles are switched (as seems a good idea, unless other evidence emerges), Badinage should be kept on as a working title.

Hell, even the BFI have it as Badinage on this page (and a year of 2009):

Badinage has never been screened at the LFF.
The BFI link shown is being updated.
'Badinage' does not exist, it has never been shown at any festivals nor has it been screened anywhere as previously stated.

Not the answer to my question - was it ever the plan to screen it at the LFF?
