This is how Wikipedia breaks down the various versions of THE DICK CAVETT SHOW.

IMDb has four versions:

The 1968 series seems to encompass the first three ABC versions. The episodes listed go from 1968 to 1974, but then there's a single stray episode from 1977, which must belong to a different series.

I tried to move the stray episode to the 1975-1991 series, but the submission was rejected:

But now that I see the breakdown on Wikipedia I'm wondering why we have a series that goes from 1968-1974 (or to 1977 if you count the stray episode); a second that goes from 1975 to 1991, a third that does not have a closing date, but only has episodes from 1986; and a fourth that goes from 1989 to 1996.

I'm confused.

Hi J. -

I have filed a ticket for our Editorial team to review these separate series listings and determine the proper way to display the series, either separately as per each Network release or combined under a single TV series title page.  As soon as I have an update on the status I will confirm the details here.

Hi J.

Thank you for your patience whilst we looked into this.

We have cleaned up the episodes on the different series now.  We are keeping some separate - based on distributor - so the several occurrences of the ABC shows are compiled on

The CNBC run is here

The USA network run is here

The PBS Late Night Run is here

Please let us know if we have missed anything!
Thanks again!
