Check-in duplicates on mobile app (iOS)

The problem with check-ins is that when a user check-in a show more than once, it is duplicated in the "Your Check-Ins" section. This happens when the user check-in from the mobile app (I use the iOS app) and not from the desktop version of IMDb. The check-in from the desktop version can be turned on or off while the check-in from the mobile app does not have this feature, resulting in check-in duplicates. Currently, the user cannot know if he already checked-in a show from the mobile app while, on the other hand, the user is informed whether he already checked-in a show from the desktop version as the user is able to see a "ticked" symbol which denotes that the show has already been checked-in.

Is it possible for the mobile app to have a feature similar to the box "+ Add to Watchlist" so that it is easier for the user to check-in or remove from check-in (if the show has been checked-in by mistake, for instance) and prevent duplicates?

While it is possible to add a title to (almost) any list via the iOS app, we do not show the special check-ins list in the list of lists, sorry.

However, you can already remove duplicate check-ins via the iOS app -- go to "Your Check-Ins" list and one of the options on the menu activated by a tap on the three vertical dots to the right of each title in your check-in list is "Remove from 'Your Check-Ins'"

We will convert this post over to the "Idea" section such that other users can vote / comment upon the first part of your suggestion.

Thank you for your prompt reply. As you said, it is possible to remove duplicate check-ins via the iOS app. Granted. The problem is that the process to go through the whole "Your Check-Ins" list to check for duplicates is quite tedious on the iOS app. On the desktop version of the IMDb you do not need to check for duplicates and there is no room for duplicates as the show shows you whether you checked-in or not from the "tick" symbol, as shown here:

From the desktop version, you either check-in or remove the check-in.

From the iOS app, if you check-in a show and check-in the same show, say, two years later (since you might watch the same show again and think that you have not checked-in that show), a check-in duplicate will be created.

What I am suggesting for the iOS app to prevent duplicates is to remove the Check In option from the share button which is currently shown here:

....and, create a button underneath "+ Add to Watchlist" which may be called, say, "+ Add to Checkins":

...to get a similar result to this:

...saying "Added to Checkins".

That way, you can just tap on it to check-in or get a message like "Remove from Checkins" list, similar to what you get when you tap on "✓ Added to Watchlist":

...preventing duplicates in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to read my idea.
