My name was added to a project and is misspelled. A request was sent to fix it and it was never changed. My name is showing as Michelle Garces-Warner and it should be Michele Garces. How can I get this changed? This is the only name I will use on all productions.

I rather doubt that this was a 'spelling error'. My guess is that your name was shown on screen in at least one of those projects as Michelle Garces-Warnerr. You really need to know how it was displayed to know exactly how to correct this.

However, if you plan to use the shorter name from now on, you can certainly submit a Name Correction

You should start from your Name Page : http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5806967/

Click the yellow Edit page button near the bottom of the page.

Select Add correction from the dropdown menu beside Name Correction or Merge (the very first item).
Click Continue (at the bottom of the page).

Enter the desired name in the internal (Surname, Givenname) format: i,e. Garces, Michelle. (If you enter it in the display format the system will 'flip' it, but it is better to enter it in the correct format.)
Unless you are certain that the on screen credits of the currently listed credits showed the new version, leave the box beside Preserve previous name on existing credits. i.e. '(as Michelle Garces-Warner)' checked.
Enter an explanation that will convince the Data Manager that the change should be made; something along the lines of:
I am Michelle Garces, and I am going to use this name in credits from now on.

Click Check these updates

You should now see a message that begins :
This correction has warnings, you must acknowledge each one before this correction will be accepted.

We have these people with similar names :-
followed by a list of names (including your current one). You don't want to merge your credits with any of them, so check the radio button beside the final option: This is a different person not currently listed - create 'Garces, Michelle'.
Click Re-check these updates

The background of the item should now be green. If it isn't, make the correction(s) indicated by the message(s).
Once it is green, double-check that the name you entered is what you want, and then click Submit these updates

The update should be processed in a week, but might take longer. Note that credits can disappear during this process. If this happens, wait at least 48 hours before reporting it.

Good luck

The producer who entered the information knew about the correct name and typed in the hyphened double ll version by mistake which is why this is a spelling error. He attempted to change two months ago and was never updated. I know in the credits on film the name is correct as Michele Garces. I just want to make sure that if I make these correction this name will be connected to my credits.

If that is the case, uncheck the box beside Preserve previous name on existing credits. i.e. '(as Michelle Garces-Warner)'.

This will generate a second warning message, so will need to check the box beside Warning understood, go ahead anyway at the bottom of that message.

Yes, the primary name (which this will change) is shown on all credits in the base system (with an (as ...) attribute beside it if the on-screen credit was different).
