I applied to change the attributed name in several credits (was splitting credits between my name and nickname) more than two weeks ago but they still have not gone through. How long does this typically take?

Hi Daniel -

To clarify the issue, this your name page: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4185486/ , however, you are trying to correct certain credits and add the attribute "as Daniel Dewes" for the titles where you were credited under this name on-screen, is that correct?

Hi Michelle,

Thank you for reaching out to clarify. Your note above is correct, and let me breakdown even more clear below.

I have some credits improperly attributed to DANNY Dewes (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4185486/), which should be attributed to DANIEL Dewes (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3659140/?ref_=nv_sr_1?ref_=nv_sr_1). Some people know me as Danny, hence why they applied these credits to that name, without clarifying with me beforehand.

Please let me know if we can sort this out!

Hi Daniel,

Can you confirm if all credits on both pages belong to you. If this is the case you can submit a merge to combine the credits onto one page. To submit this change, please refer to the guide below:

https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/names-biographical-data/how-can-i-combine-two-imdb-filmog...

Rememberthat we always list filmographies/people under the most commonly and/orrecently credited name. Please also take special care to ensure the pagesyou are merging are both yours, for example each list credits with belong toyou.

If not all the credits belong to you, please let us know and we can look into this further for you.

Thanks
Meredith

Hi Meredith,

All the credits in Danny Dewes (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4185486/?ref_=nv_sr_1?ref_=nv_sr_1) are indeed me!

One thing I cannot tell is, when I go to merge, I am merely entering the correct name "Dewes, Daniel". Will this be attributed to the already existing page (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3659140/?ref_=nv_sr_1?ref_=nv_sr_1), or is this creating a new "Daniel Dewes" page? My desire is for this to all be combined in the same page, NOT to create a new one.

Let me know how to proceed for the intended result. Thank you!

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your response.

When merging these pages together, all information across both pages will be merged into a single entity and you will have the option to 'preserve name' during the merge. This means all credits listed on the page with the incorrect name will include the attribute (as Danny Dewes) to reflect you were listed under a different name!

I hope this helps.

Joel
