Your Comment “Having just watched this episode, Sahlima is not in the credits. Adding uncredited to Attribute.

= = = = = = = = = = = = =

#190108-183838-521000
S03 E13 Knockdown

Before: Vidure, Ajay    William         16

Here is the Credit entry:

= = = = = = = = = = = = =

After:     Brewer, Chadney    Homeless Man   (uncredited)
Your Comment “Having just watched this episode, this Actor is NOT in the credits. Adding uncredited as an Attribute.

Before:  Collins, Skoti    Jay Hixton
After:     Collins, Skoti    Jay Hixton    (uncredited)
Your Comment “Having just watched this episode, this Actor is NOT in the credits. Adding uncredited as an Attribute.

There are no Ending Credits to show they are NOT in them and they are NOT in the Beginning credits.

= = = = = = = = = = = = =

#190108-182540-628000
S04 E07 Cops & Robbers

Before:  Norris, Dean (I)     Captain John Davis    9
After:     Norris, Dean (I)     Captain Peterson        9
Your Comment “Having just watched the episode, the character name is Captain Peterson. It is NOT John Davis. This is based on the name-tag on his shirt and being called Captain Peterson by other characters.

Here is the name tag which is clearly shown in many scenes and he is called Captain Peterson at around 6:29 in the episode:

= = = = = = = = = = = = =

#190108-174949-340000
#190108-174626-464000
S04 E14 The Blue Butterfly

Before:  Jones, Tamala    Betsy Sinclair                         6
After:     Jones, Tamala    Lanie Parish/Betsy Sinclair   6
Your Comment “Having just watched this episode, Tamala Jones appeared as BOTH Lanie Parish and Betsy Sinclair (just like Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, Jon Huertas, and Seamus Dever. Adding Name to Character.

Not sure what else I can add to this. Tamala Jones appears in this episode as both Lanie Parish AND Betsy Sinclair.

Before:  Grano, Andrea    Cindy Banks    (uncredited)
After:     Grano, Andrea    Cindy Banks                           15
Your Comment “Having just watched this episode, this Actress IS in the beginning credits. Removing uncredited Attribute and adding Order number to correctly place her in the Credit list.

As you can see, she is clearly credited:

= = = = = = = = = = = = =

#190108-173650-866000
S05 E13 Recoil

Actor Deletion:  Box, Branton    Volov's Man
Your Comment “Incorrectly added to this episode. This character is correctly in Castle, Season 05, Episode 16. Additionally, this incorrect entry is misspelled as Volov's Man. It should have been Volkov's Man. There is no Volkov (or Volov, for that matter) in this episode so, there is no sense to a description like 'Volkov's Man', further proof this is an Incorrect entry and should be deleted.

Before:  Okes, Bryan    Reporter No.2
After:     Okes, Bryan    Reporter No.2   (as Bryan Okes Fuller)    21
Your Comment “Per the Ending Credits, Added Order number to correctly place this entry in the credit list. Also changed Attribute to AS... to match name in Credits.

Actor Addition:  Norvell, Aaron    Officer    17

Before:  Hu, Ann (II)    Audiotech
After:     Hu, Ann (II)    Audio Tech    23
Your Comment “Per the Ending Credits, Added Order number to correctly place this entry in the credit list. Also Changed Name to match Credits.

Here are all the Ending credits from Season 05 Episode 13 Recoil.  You can see that Branton Box is NOT listed, Bryan Okes name doesn't match (so needs an 'AS... attribute), Aaron Norvell IS listed and Audio Tech isn't entered correctly:

And, just to be complete, here is the listing from Season 05 Episode 16 HUNT that shows where Branton Box is really listed:

= = = = = = = = = = = = =

#190108-185207-506000
S04 E01 Rise

Before:  Pierson, Geoff    Mystery Man   9
After:     Pierson, Geoff    Mr. Smith         9
Your Comment “Having just watched this episode, the Character's name is Mr. Smith. This is based on the name on his mailbox.

Geoff, Pierson is/will be an on going character in a total of 6 episodes.
While he is not addressed by name, his name IS shown to be SMITH as it is shown on him mailbox:

It is much easier to read while watching the episode. Here is the same screen capture that was lightened:

As his name Is Mr. Smith (and later Michael Smith) AND it is shown his name is also Smith in this first appearance, his name should be Mr. Smith.

Also, since his name has been established as Mr. Smith and his second appearance shows he is a recurring character, his second appearance should also be changed from Mystery Man to Mr. Smith:

S04 E12 Dial M for Mayor

Before: Pierson, Geoff        Mystery Man        9
After:    Pierson, Geoff        Mr. Smith              9

After this, he is referred to as Mr. Smith or Michael Smith in his other 4 appearances.

Stephen, I see within all your Screenshots the Co-Star at the end. But I'm curious as to why there are no Guest-Starring Open Credits to prove your point. Guest Stars are not repeated in the Co-star end Credits. Have you done this? And if so why no screenshots? The Castle submission caught my eye, as I watched this show, and the screenshots you provided are most definitely "End" credits.
Awaiting your response.
Thanks
Cheers.

That is because the 'problem' entries are normally bit players (therefore ending credits) being listed/not listed, out of order, a spelling problem, or some other attribute issue (an AS... entry needed / not needed).

The only ones that could benefit from the opening credits (so far) have been 'not in episode' types.  For these, listing the beginning credits would be problematical (if they don't trust me) as each name in on a screen by itself (with a few rare exception).  How would the approves now I included ALL the beginning credits and just didn't show one?  It is hard enough to prove a negative (actor is not in an episode).  I can do this (for the Guest Stars) if you think it is needed or would help.

Fortunately, all the problems I have found have been related to ending credits and I haven't had a need for the beginning credits.

One exception in this post is the main, recurring character Lanie Parish in the episode The Blue Butterfly.  But, even though a main (i.e. beginning credit) listing had a problem, just showing a screen shot of Tamala Jones wouldn't show this. Only by watching the Episode can you see she plays two parts.  If you like, I can get screen shots of each character.

Another would be the beginning credit for Guest Star Geoff Pierson. But, again, the Beginning credit would just show the actor's name.  This would be no help with the character's name in the episode.

Only 80% data supplied, Means a 20% chance of an incorrect outcome. An assumption about the status of an actor/actress' part in a photo-play on our part is a little presumptuous, wouldn't you say?

Absorb it, please. Who are you to assign bit player status.
That is done by way of "Billing" by Production Staff, not You and I.

If someone is uncredited in a TV show, 99.999 percent of the time, they are a bit player.

Your Comment “Having just watched this episode, Sahlima is not in the credits. Adding uncredited to Attribute.

Your basically saying that because you provided end credits only that her role become uncredited.
If she was indeed Opening Credited, you would be making the Database inaccurate.

Ah, but of course there is still doubt.  Who is to say I supplied every last name...
Since I am not trusted to watch the episode and see that a person is not in either the Beginning or Ending credits (and going back to double check multiple times to be sure), why should I be trusted to supply all the screen shots.  Maybe I just left Sahlima off because I felt like it (I didn't but that is not the point).

The only way to have no doubts is for another (trusted?) person to watch the episode and verify.

There is and old saying. Trust but verify.
I don't ever attempt what you are doing because it IS to hard to verify.
Don't want to remove or alter the little people stuff unless it it blatantly false data on the part of one individual. (Padded accreditation)
My hats off to ya.
