Can't log out of Get Satisfaction

This problem relates to this Get Satisfaction site, not to IMDb.com.

I normally use my Google account to log into Get Satisfaction. However, since yesterday, when I try to log out of GS, using the "Sign Out" link below my username at the upper right of the page, I see the "Sign in" and "Register" links for about a second, then it goes back to displaying my username "gromit82" and my avatar. I can't get logged out.

I should note that at Google.com, it doesn't show me as being logged into my Google account, nor at other sites where I usually log in via Google does it show me as being logged in. It appears that I'm only stuck being logged in here at GetSatisfaction.com.

Does anyone have any advice about this?

You are trapped.

Did you try resetting site data?

Go to (getsatisfaction.com) site settings > click on "Clear Data" under 'Usage'.

[ This is a guide for Google Chrome. If you use it, follow this, or let me know if you use any other browser. But most browsers have the same system of clearing site data. ]

Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Bonafide: Thanks, this seems to work, but after re-logging in I have to use the same method to get out. The plain logout method still does not appear to be working for me.

This time, Try resetting both site data and site permissions.

- Go to chrome://settings/privacy and do this:

> After, resetting site perms & clearing site data, Log-in back and try to log out with the normal method.

If you still can't do it, go to your GetSatisfaction profile: https://getsatisfaction.com/people/gromit82 and you'll notice a "Sign-Out" button on the top right corner. Try to log out from there.

If you still can't do it, make sure there're no third-party cookies enabled. (for ex: some extensions/add-ons cause problems if they're unsupported on a site).

Good Luck.

Btw, are you using VPN? If not, since when is this happening? If you're experiencing this for the first time, maybe it's just a temp data error. Try restarting your device.

Just an update on this. I'm still having the same problem on the Chrome browser. However, I have found that the Firefox browser does allow be to log out, so I'll probably focus on using Firefox for GS.

Thanks to Bonafide and ACT1 for their suggestions.
