Can't access IMDb app through Amazon Prime despite creating IMDb account online and linking with Prime

I have Amazon Prime and have signed up online for IMDb. But I don't seem to be able to access IMDb content like Mad Men without paying for it. It's supposed to be free through Prime + IMDb. What am I doing wrong? I also can't locate the IMDb app on my 2018 Samsung Smart TV to try that route, it is not listed in the app store. I've tried to get to the IMDb database both through my TiVo Prime account and my Samsung Prime App. Help?

There's no separate IMDb Smart TV app that I'm aware of. When I go into Prime on my Samsung Smart tv and search for Mad Men, I just select season 1 from the search results and the first episode is watchable. It says "included with your IMDb TV channel" but that does not noticeably open a different app - it just streams through Prime.

While this is a screenshot off my chromebook it's essentially what I see when going through Prime via the TV:

I don't understand - if you click on "watch episode 1 free with ads" what happens? Does it not start playing for you? It does for me.

Again, the point is the charge to watch (yes, the first one is free. Yes, it works). I can play any episode for free on my laptop from the IMDb website, but not via Amazon Prime on my smart TV. I'd like to watch them on my TV. That's my problem.

It plays for free on my Samsung TV via Amazon Prime when I click on the "watch episode 1 free with ads" button. As does episode 2 and 3 etc.

You know, you're right. Now that we've finished episode 1, it DOES show episode 2 free with ads. It didn't before, just showed 2 available for $2.99. Thanks!

I get a message that says this device doesn’t support a subscription to IMDb tv. Still don’t know why
