Can you merge the two Doctor Who shows? (1963, 2005)

The two Doctor Who shows on IMDb need to be merged. The shows are essentially already the same show. Why are they separated? Granted, when the 2005 series aired, it updated the episodes, but unlike Star Trek: The Next Generation or the reboot of Battlestar Galactica, where the shows are separate from their predecessors and stand on their own, this is a continuation of the 1963 series in every sense of the word.

Plus, with Google recently adding TV show episode listings, the Doctor Who search seems to have just the original run, 1963-1989, which could potentially confuse some people.

It is tricky, as there was a big long break in between the two and the official episode numbering seems to have restarted (unless you have evidence to show that it didn't).

Obviously, IMDB have no control over the way Google do it, but Wikipedia use the same episode numbering so if there is confusion it is going to be over Google's numbering, not the official one.
