Calling something event image when it's not, is there systemic reason

Is there a reason that images that are really still images would be put into another category, such as event?
I've just run across several titles where images that are definitely still pics from a show are under event. The only reason I can think of is that if someone chooses event pics then these will raise to the top. I think also that images are sorted based on the category although I'm not positive about that.
Any knowledge would be great.

Hi MikeTheWhistle,

It looks like this image was miss-categorized. I've modified it now.

Thanks,
Will

Thx. I guess from reading here on GS that images were once only done by imdb. Is there some kind of reason why images would be mis-categorized? I've just come across a bunch and trying to understand.
