Hi, I changed the title of one of the video games you had listed on your site to correct the year of release.  But now for some reason the entire game title has been deleted off your site.  Here is the automated reply I received after I submitted the year change in the title...

"Thank you for contributing to IMDb.

you supplied has been passed to the IMDb data managers for verification.

Updates normally take around 2-14 days
to appear online, but depending on the type of information submitted

If your changes still have
not appeared online after 18 days, it can mean that we were unable to
verify the information, or it was in some way ineligible for inclusion.
However, you should check the processing times page for any unusual delays, especially during or after holiday periods.

Update summary
  • Breakout (1978) (VG)
    • Title Correction - Add
        Correction: Breakout (1976)
Explanation: The sequel Super Breakout was released in 1978 this game was released in 1976."

There is two Breakout games.  The first game was called 'Breakout' and the sequel that came out 2 years later is called 'Super Breakout'.  Not sure why this title was deleted but I'm sure it was a mistake by someone in the imdb staff.  Please bring back the original video game title Breakout on your site.  I don't even care if the year is still incorrect.  Thank you.

It looks like you omitted the (VG) tag when you corrected the title. And year corrections should usually be achieved by submitting a release date. However, as you note, you'll probably need staff's intervention to fix this.

This does make you wonder if a member of staff even cast an eye over this submission, as it shoud have been blatantly obvious that these aren't the same thing - a family video game and an adult movie (one involves using a paddle to knock your balls against bars, I'm just not sure which one that is, but staff should be able to unpick it).
