Born in 1967, appeared in a 1959 episode?

I saw that rapper Mellow Man Ace (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0009646/), born in 1967, is listed in the cast of a 1959 episode of "The George Burns Show": http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2088559/.

Obviously, this is an error of some kind, but I would like to know what kind of error it is and how it should be fixed. "Mellow Man Ace" is not a common name, and it seems unlikely that another person would have been using the same stage name in 1959. Furthermore, the role in which he is credited is "Guest Quartet". Nobody else is credited as playing Guest Quartet in that episode -- apparently he is supposed to have portrayed all four group members. (???) And it's my understanding that quartets in the 1950s tended to have plural-sounding names -- I could imagine a quartet in 1959 being known as "The Mellow Men" or "The Mellow Aces", but not the singular-sounding "Mellow Man Ace".

Does anyone know the truth about this credit, or does the staff know what the submitter had in mind?

gromit,
I think your first gut feel is correct - that it is a group that someone tried to add and then mistakenly attached it to the rapper without checking the detail of what they were doing.

So in case common sense and logic is not enough to make this change, we also have this:
[18] The George Burns Show: RONNIE TAKES AN APARTMENT (filmed)(sitcom format)
24Feb1959 NBC Tue
Guest stars:
Jill Corey
The Steiner Brothers (dance team)
Mellow Men (quartet)
Guest cast:
Raymond Greenleaf...Edmund Prentice
Synopsis:
Jill Corey is a guest for tonight's session of comedy and music. Ronnie moves into his own apartment, leaving George alone. But George doesn't stay lonely for long.

Thanks, Bob. It looks like you have identified what the correct credit should be.
