Hi. one of the actors in our shows names keep showing up backwards on the page. We've sent corrections but it hasn't been fixed. The show also shows up in the search in two variations one with the production company and plot synopsis and one without how do we combine these two pages?
Thanks

Demaree: Can you provide the names, titles, and pages involved here? It will be easier to explain the solution if you give the specifics.

Hi, Yes if you search Desert Friends the character James is supposed to be Caleb Kuhl but somehow it is showing up backwards.

Also when you search Desert Friends it looks as though there may be two pages, one that comes up under the production name and one that pulls up with the episode name.

A TV series (or min-series) has two levels, a Series page at the top, then a page for each Episode under that page.

Full information about cast and crew needs to be entered into each Episode, matching the on-screen credits. Once this is done, that information is 'rolled up' and the result shown on the Series page, replacing the data that was entered to get the project accepted.

There appear to be 2 pages on IMDb for Caleb Kuhl : the one that is attached to your Series with the name as Kuhl Caleb and another one with no credits with the name correctly as as Caleb Kuhl

You should probably merge the two pages into a single one with the name in the correct format.

To do this, start at the page currently linked to your project : www.imdb.com/name/nm5775193/

Click on the yellow Edit page button near the bottom of the page

Select Add correction from the dropdown menu beside Name Correction (the first option), then click the Continue button (at the bottom of the page).

Enter the name in the box in Surname, GivenName format i.e. as Kuhl, Caleb Note the comma.

Enter the explanation, something like : "This person's name is actually 'Caleb Kuhl', but was entered in the wrong sequence. This update will also merge this with the page that was in the correct sequence, but not connected to any credits.

Do NOT check the box beside update existing credits with 'as' attribute

Click Check these updates

The new page will show a warning message:
The corrected name already exists as a separate entry.
This will have the effect of merging the two listings into one. Please make sure this is intended and, if not, use roman numerals to distinguish the corrected name from any other listings. Also, be aware that credits may disappear for a day or two during the merge process.
I have noted that page above, so just check the box beside Warning understood, go ahead anyway.

Click Recheck these updates

If there are no more messages, click Submit these updates button.

The change should be made in a few days, and once that has occurred the name will be changed on the Cast credit as well.
