Awards contribution repeatedly ignored

Back in February, I tried to correct an omission from the National Film Registry class of 1992. In that year, Stan Brakhage's five-part "Dog Star Man" was among the 25 films selected. On IMDb, however, the award was incorrectly given to "Dog Star Man: Part IV" only, leaving out "Prelude", "Part I", "Part II", and "Part III". I tried to correct this by deleting the entry for "Dog Star Man Part IV" and replacing it with one that contained all four parts and the prelude. (This method has been used many times in the past, most recently with the six-part "Fuentes Family Home Videos" in 2017 (see here: https://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000468/2017/1/?ref_=ev_eh))

When the correction came to be processed, the editors, in their infinite wisdom, processed the deletion but did not add the replacement. Now, when you look at the awards for 1992, 24 of the 25 honored films are there while Dog Star Man is completely neglected. I have tried to remedy this several times by resubmitting the update, always making sure to include the National Film Registry's website as a reference, but every time I do the weeks go by and nothing happens. Why?

The problem has been fixed at last! I'd still like to know why it didn't work the first time.
