Asian Names and the "as" attribute

When an Asian name is credit on screen in the typical Asian way of surname then given name, should we use an "as" attribute with it? (This doesn't seem to be covered in the name guide.)

For example, if Yung-Fat Chow is credited as Chow Yung-Fat, should be credited as:

Actor                       Role                 Attribute
Chow, Yung-Fat     John Lee         (as Chow Yun-Fat)

This is the way he is currently listed. I was just watching a movie that had Asian names credited with surname then given name but not listed with any "as" attribute and I wonder which is correct.

Yes, very close. But I think that it should be:
Actor                       Role                 Attribute
Chow, Yun-Fat        John Lee         (as Chow Yung-Fat)

Assuming that you're really referring to the well known Asian actor Yun-Fat Chow

Yeah, I just mistyped his name where as the other parts, I copy and pasted in. Shouldn't this be in the Asian name guide though?

Yes, I think that some examples would help. Steve

Hi Adrian -

I'm just confirming that the example Steve provided is the correct way to format these credits.  Regarding the Asian name guide here, I have filed a ticket for our editors to take a look and see if examples can be added to the guide.  Cheers!

Thanks. I was doubting was I should add the "as" attribute to that movie but then looked for an example. But, examples can be wrong as well. So, having the official determination in the guide would be great.
